⚓ Three Drydocks, One Vision: Optimizing Ship Comfort and Capabilities In November, Carnival Maritime, alongside colleagues from AIDA Cruises, Costa Crociere S.p.A., as well as external partners, embarked on an ambitious journey to complete three simultaneous drydocks over a period of four weeks. This monumental effort required meticulous planning and seamless coordination. 🛳️ The journey began at the Fincantieri Trieste Shipyard in Italy with the drydocking of Costa Deliziosa. Between November 3 and 30, our teams worked diligently on improving the vessel's onboard amenities, focusing particularly on passenger comfort and technological capabilities. 🛳️ A day later, Costa Fascinosa entered drydock in Marseille, where she underwent 26 days of technical maintenance, refurbishments, and upgrades. The teams focused on enhancing the ship's systems and infrastructure to elevate her performance and guest experience. 🛳️ Meanwhile, on November 13, AIDAnova arrived at Damen Shipyard in Rotterdam for comprehensive upgrades designed to optimize operational efficiency and sustainability. These included a makeover of guest spaces, improvements to the electric Azipod drive, IT systems, and onboard laundry equipment. This triple drydock operation, a first for our company, exemplifies the seamless collaboration between Carnival Maritime, AIDA, Costa, and our partners. The initiative aligned with our mission to ensure the health and safety of passengers and crew as they embarked on an extraordinary journey across diverse destinations. Through collaborative discussions, crisis management skills enhancement, and updates on maritime health protocols, this workshop aimed to prepare our dedicated medical teams for the unique challenges of a world cruise.
