International QA Workshop on ISO 45001 Preparation We are proud to share that our international colleagues are coming together for a dedicated workshop focused on the implementation of ISO 45001. Sustainable Packaging for Biodiversity At Cartonplast, we recognize that biodiversity loss is as critical as climate change. Healthy ecosystems are at risk from land use changes and deforestation. A 2022 WWF study shows that global wood consumption (4.3–5 billion m³/year) exceeds the sustainable limit of 3 billion m³/year, with a large portion used for packaging. Our PP layer pads and PP pallets offer a sustainable alternative to traditional, tree-derived packaging. External LCAs reveal that the land use impact of our PP layer pads is only 3% of that of cardboard pads in Germany, and our PP pallets account for just 0.1% of the impact of one-way wooden pallets in Turkey. Cartonplast Stays Up to Date – Participation in the DVI Online Seminar on PPWR Today, our colleague Zsuzsanna Rau had the opportunity to participate in the online seminar organized by the German Packaging Institute (Deutsches Verpackungsinstitut e. V. ) on the “Regulation on Packaging and Packaging Waste (PPWR).” The event provided valuable insights into the latest and upcoming regulatory requirements in the EU regarding sustainable packaging solutions. The new PPWR regulations present significant challenges for businesses, from stricter recycling quotas to expanded product guidelines. At Cartonplast, we are committed to supporting our customers in implementing these regulations. Our reusable transport packaging solutions contribute to waste reduction and align with the principles of the circular economy. By regularly attending industry events like this, we ensure that we stay informed about the latest developments and can apply this knowledge to provide sustainable and compliant packaging solutions for our customers.
