The psychology of pricing: Price isn’t just a number—it’s a psychological process that can transform customer behavior and boost your sales. Here are three fascinating insights I've discovered through research while redesigning the paywall page of charisme: 💚💙 ⚓Anchoring Effect: Displaying high numbers near prices, such as "Join 5,487 happy users," can make the actual price seem lower. This cognitive bias causes customers to rely heavily on the first piece of information they see (the "anchor") when making decisions. By presenting a high number, you set a reference point that makes the actual price appear more reasonable in comparison. ⌚Emphasize Time Over Money: Instead of referencing money, emphasize the time investment. For instance, "5 minutes a day can change your life" resonates more effectively with customers. This approach shifts the focus from the financial cost to the personal benefit, highlighting the value of their time and the positive impact of the product or service on their lives. 💰Price Placement: The position of prices can influence perception. Displaying prices on the left side and sorting them from high to low can encourage customers to choose more expensive options. Additionally, highlighting the most expensive option first establishes a higher reference price, making subsequent prices seem more affordable. This strategic placement leverages psychological principles to guide customers towards more favorable purchasing decisions. How are you designing your price strategy? Any tips how to improve ours?

🥁 Drumroll, please... 🥁 Let's give a warm welcome to our new social media intern, 🌞Leeanne Bonnialy🌞! She'll be with us for the next three months. We can count on her to put in relief the vibrant personality of charisme. 🌟 Hailing from France, Leeanne pursued literature before diving into communications studies at #CELSA Sorbonne Université. To help you get to know her better, we asked her three questions: 1️⃣ What made you want to join charisme? I was drawn to charisme's values of self-understanding, autonomy, and transparency. I wanted a job that resonated with my principles. Additionally, I appreciate the small, high-performing, flexible, and welcoming team. 2️⃣ Why is social anxiety an important topic for you? Mental health is increasingly significant, as I've observed within my own circle. In my opinion, reflecting on oneself and understanding how to form healthy connections is key to building a better world. 3️⃣ What is your top social media recommendation lately? Without a doubt, the cinematic vlogs of Life of Riza who has an incredible knack for storytelling! It's a simple game 🎯

Profil von Miro Liebschner anzeigen, Grafik

    Co-Founder & CEO @charisme

Here is why a subscription-based app business is like a strategy game 🚀 Building charisme feels like a complex numbers game where our current goal is to become cash-flow positive. Let’s break this all down into some easy-to-understand formulas 🧮 Cash Flow positive = 💰 in > 💰out
which could be written as
💰 Revenue > Taxes + Marketing spend + Salaries + Overhead We need to scale 💰 revenue to cover salaries and overhead. This means that we will also scale our marketing spend. For this to be profitable, we need 💰revenue per user > 💸 cost of acquiring a new user Let’s dive deeper into 💰revenue per user. 💰revenue per user = % Trial Started (percentage of users that start our free trial) *
% Trial to Subscription (percentage of users that don’t cancel the trial) *
🙋♀️ Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) Here, we could dive deeper once again, e.g., the
🙋♀️ CLV (simplified) = Revenue per year / (1 / 🔥 Churn Rate).
🔥 Churn Rate is the percentage of users that cancel their subscription. Decreasing the yearly churn rate from 70% to 55% would increase the 💰revenue per user by 26%.

This is where the thought of “it is like a game” comes into play. Changing one factor down the line has a significant influence on the overall result. Let’s look at the 💸 cost of acquiring a new user. Here, we can go as deep as we like too, but we will keep it simple. 💸cost of acquiring a new user = ⚠️ Cost per click on our Ad (leads potential users to our app store page) * 📱 App Store Page Conversion Rate. This implies that doubling the📱 App Store Page Conversion Rate halves the 💸 cost of acquiring a new user. Thinking about your business that way gives you MANY variables that have significant influence. As an early-stage startup, we try to focus on those that are flexible and easy to change, such as the📱 App Store Page Conversion Rate, which was behind industry benchmarks until recently. I will provide a series of the most important KPIs for us and how we intend to improve them in the next couple of weeks 🚀

Do Networking Events Make You Sweat (Besides the Free Food)? 😨 Let's talk about social anxiety and networking events! We've all been there - that room buzzing with unfamiliar faces, the pressure to make a great impression, and the nagging fear of saying something stupid. Social anxiety can turn these events into full-blown battlegrounds. Fight or Flight❓ Social anxiety shows up in different ways. Some people feel intense nervousness, sweating, or even physical illness. Others might become withdrawn, struggle to make eye contact, or ruminate on every word they speak. Winning the Battle 🏆 Here's how we can slay the social anxiety dragon and network like champions: 1. Be Prepared: Research the event and know your elevator pitch (a quick summary of yourself and what you do). Prepare some conversation starters to break the ice. 2. Baby Steps: Don't try to conquer the whole room. Start with one or two introductions, then build on those connections. 3. Focus on Others: Ask people questions about themselves and their work. People love to talk about themselves, and it takes the pressure off you. 4. It's Not You, It's Them: Remember, most people are focused on their anxieties too! 5. Embrace the Breaks: Feeling overwhelmed? Step outside for some fresh air, grab a drink, and regroup. Truth Time 💡 Does everyone get social anxiety? Not necessarily, but many people experience some level of discomfort at networking events. Introverts, for example, may simply need more alone time to recharge. Why Scary❓ 1. Fear of rejection 2. Feeling like an imposter 3. Pressure to impress 4. Uncertainty about what to say Remember: Networking is about building relationships, not winning a popularity contest. Focus on genuine connections, and the rest will follow 😎 **Let's break the stigma! Share your networking wins and anxieties in the comments. ** #networking #networkingevent #networkingtips #socialanxiety #psychology #workplacementalhealth #charismeapp

🎉 Today marks the official founding of our company, "Ikigai Innovations GmbH"! 🎉 Setting up the legal framework was another milestone on our path to becoming a profitable startup. What should have been a quick process took us much longer due to the complexity of Germany's legal system. Our journey involved setting up holding companies for the founders, establishing a GmbH, implementing vesting, and securing our first angel investor. Navigating the requirements for angel investor funding was particularly challenging, especially ensuring compliance with the INVEST-Zuschuss regulations. If you're a startup going through the incorporation process, don't hesitate to reach out with your questions! We've learned so much and are thrilled to have conquered this significant milestone on our founding journey! 💼🚀 #StartupLife #LegalComplexities #FoundingJourney #FoundingDay #charismeapp

Ever hold back a brilliant idea in a meeting due to social anxiety? 😥💡 You're not alone. Many professionals 👩✈️👨⚖️experience social anxiety, especially in workplace settings. This can lead to: 🙅♀️🙅🏼Hesitation to share valuable ideas: Fear of judgment or scrutiny can silence even the most insightful voices. 🙇♂️🙇♀️Difficulty expressing disagreement: Feeling pressured to conform even when you disagree can be detrimental to both the individual and the team. Here are 5 simple steps to overcome social anxiety in meetings: 1. Preparation is key: Anticipate discussion topics and rehearse potential contributions beforehand. This boosts confidence and allows you to articulate thoughts clearly. 2. Start small: Begin by participating in smaller group discussions or offering brief comments before diving into larger presentations. 3. Focus on value, not judgment: Remember, your ideas are meant to contribute, not impress. Frame your contributions with a focus on their potential benefit to the discussion. 4. Active listening: Pay close attention to others' viewpoints. This not only demonstrates respect but also helps identify opportunities to add your own perspective constructively. 5. Self-compassion: Be kind to yourself. Everyone experiences anxiety occasionally. Celebrate your progress, and remember, even small steps forward are victories. By taking these steps, you can overcome social anxiety and ensure your valuable voice is heard in the workplace! 😌 #socialanxiety #workplace #meetings #communication #mentalhealth #psychology #charismeapp Remember, you are not alone. There are resources available to help you manage social anxiety. Consider seeking professional help if needed. 🌸
