Al Gore rightfully losing his 💩 His recent speech touches on a critical issue that demands our attention. With the current state of the world, are we really serious about solving the climate crisis, or are we just putting on a show? Here’s the hard truth: 🛢️ Fossil fuel companies are still using their political power to block progress 👨🏻⚖️ Critical conversations about phasing out oil and gas aren’t even allowed on the table at COPs. 🌍 Many climate commitments we do have are failing to deliver the results we urgently need. The time for half-measures has long passed. We need real strategies that protect our planet and invest in sustainable innovation. Supporting climate tech solutions, reducing waste, and transitioning to cleaner energy sources are steps we can’t afford to delay. But it’s not just about individuals making better choices—it’s about producers and legislators stepping up. What are your thoughts? Share them below 👇 #sustainability #cop

Biomimicry at its best! A robot that swims, crawls, and glides—thanks to the stingray's natural design🤖 Imagine a world where our technology mimics the natural grace and efficiency of marine life🐠 Velox is doing just that by taking inspiration from the sleek stingray. Designed for undersea patrols, mine removal, and deep-sea exploration, Velox doesn’t rely on traditional propellers. Instead, it uses flexible fins that undulate like a stingray’s wings, allowing it to glide effortlessly through water🌊 The natural world has been perfecting these designs for millions of years. Why reinvent the wheel when nature already has the perfect blueprints? Velox is just one example of how biomimicry can lead to groundbreaking technology with minimal environmental impact. What other lessons can we learn from nature to solve our toughest challenges? Credit: Pliant Energy Systems Inc #Biomimicry #Innovation

In the Philippines, a brilliant solution is turning what was once waste into something really cool—literally! 🇵🇭 ❄️ Meet ‘Nutshell Coolers’: eco-friendly coolers made from coconut waste that could change the way we keep things cold Here’s how they do it: Local farmers collect discarded coconut husks, which are then processed into natural fibers. These fibers are then used to create insulation panels, providing a green alternative to styrofoam, which is notorious for polluting our oceans and being difficult to recycle Each Nutshell Cooler is made from 37 coconut husks and the outer shell is crafted from 50 recycled plastic bottles♻️ By doing this, they've already saved over 240,000 coconut husks from being burned as waste🥥🔥 This innovative approach not only reduces waste but also supports local farmers by providing them with an additional income stream. It’s a win-win!🌟 Creating a sustainable future starts with choosing natural options over plastic. Would you consider switching to more sustainable alternatives? Let’s talk in the comments! 🌱💬 #sustainability #coconuts

Did you know there’s a fungus 🍄 that can dissolve plastic? 🥤 A few months ago, scientists found a strain of fungus on ocean plastic debris that breaks down polyethylene, the most common marine plastic. 🤯 It’s a promising breakthrough but still in the early stages. More research is needed to measure how much plastic it can break down and understand the byproducts of the process Natural solutions like this are essential, especially since traditional methods often add more toxins to our environment In 2024, we invested in Novobiom, a company using fungi to clean polluted soils sustainably 🌱🔬 Their work shows the power of nature’s solutions in building a cleaner world Spread the word and be part of the solution! #PlasticDegradation #Biomimicry"

Remember building with Legos as a kid? Now imagine building a real house just as easily! 🧱 Polycare’s blocks make home construction as simple as stacking Legos Here's what makes them awesome: - 60% Less CO2: Reduces emissions compared to traditional concrete - Water-Free: No water needed, making it eco-friendly - Recyclable & Local: Built from local, recyclable materials These blocks are waterproof, soundproof, fire-resistant, and require no mortar or glue Polycare’s already built a kindergarten in Namibia in just a month, creating a safe space for kids to learn. ❤️ Could this be the future of green building? #Innovation #GreenBuilding"

Did you know there’s a floating trash can that automatically cleans our rivers? 🌊 In 2023 alone, it filtered 15 billion liters of water and collected 5 million pieces of plastic. Seabin™ is an automated floating bin, filtering up to 20 kg of waste from the water’s surface each day. While it's a promising tool, SeaBins need regular upkeep and can’t operate in rough waters or strong currents, so they’re mainly used in marinas. Scaling solutions like SeaBins could make a big impact on marine pollution. It's a step toward a more sustainable world, combining tech with nature to tackle our waste problems. Ready to scale it up? #marinepollution #innovation
