🎄 Last week, we wrapped up the year with our Cloover Christmas party—a chance to celebrate a successful 2024 together as a team. We started with a recap of the year and a fun Secret Santa exchange at the office, followed by an action painting workshop, where we created an artwork for our new office space in Berlin. 🌎 Renewable Roundup November is coming to an end, and it’s been a month of great milestones and progress in renewable energy across Europe. From record solar installations to strengthened energy infrastructure, here are some of the month’s highlights: 🇩🇪 Germany’s 100 GW Milestone Germany is on track to surpass 100 GW of installed PV capacity by year-end, with cumulative capacity at 95 GW by September. The country’s renewable energy association forecasts 17.5 GW of new installations in 2024, solidifying Germany as a key player in the global energy transition. 🇭🇺 Hungary’s Solar Growth Hungary added 1.3 GW of new PV capacity in the first 10 months of 2024, marking the third year in a row of surpassing the 1 GW threshold. By October, total installed capacity reached 7.35 GW, exceeding the government’s 2030 target of 6 GW by over 20%. 🇪🇪 Baltic Grid Integration By early 2025, the Baltic states will fully synchronize with the European electricity grid, ending reliance on the Russian network. Supported by upgraded infrastructure and the LitPol Link, this transition strengthens energy security, integrates renewables, and enhances EU market access 🇬🇧 UK Approves Undersea Links The UK has approved five undersea energy links set to be completed by 2032. These interconnectors will strengthen Europe’s shared energy infrastructure, improve grid stability, and support renewable energy exports. 🇦🇹 Austria’s Hydro-Wind Duo Austria’s renewable energy sources have stepped up as Russian gas supplies decline.
