We are pleased to have taken on the important role of certification body "#Prüfbeauftragter" for Trianel Windpark Borkum (TWB) throughout its operational phase since September 2024. It is now our responsibility to verify that TWB continues to operate safely and efficiently. We conduct periodic inspections, closely assessing all structural and functional components to meet the safety and regulatory standards set by the #BSH (Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency). Our team documents all findings, follows up on corrective actions, and prepares an annual report to submit to the BSH. Our role also includes verifying that any necessary corrective actions are fully implemented in compliance with these regulations. Through our assessments, we monitor that the wind farm continues to meet the standards of structural stability and operational safety. "Approved Prüfbeauftragter”—there’s no better way to say it in German! Con4Mare has been officially recognized by the #BSH (Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency) as a certification body. This approval further confirms our role as a Certification Body according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17065:2013 in verifying compliance with regulatory standards, esp. the BSH standard “Konstruktion für Offshore-Bauwerke in der deutschen AWZ”, which governs the construction of offshore structures in the German Exclusive Economic Zone (AWZ). Building on our DAkkS accreditation, this strengthens our position as a trusted certification body within the offshore sector. Project Update for the EnBW He Dreiht Offshore Wind Farm: The foundation installation operations have been successfully completed. As the Marine Warranty Surveyor in charge, Con4Mare ensured safe and reliable loading operations, storage management, and installation of the foundations for this project, working closely with EnBW, Heerema Marine Contractors, Buss Terminal Eemshaven BV, Smulders, Steelwind Nordenham GmbH, and other partners. The collective efforts of all involved have led to several key achievements over the past months. The foundation operations included load-out and interim transport from Nordenham and Newcastle to Eemshaven, where the load-in, onshore handling, and storage of monopiles (MPs) and transition pieces (TPs) were conducted. From Eemshaven, the marshalling harbor for the He Dreiht Offshore Wind Farm, the load-out onto barges was executed to transport MPs and TPs to the offshore installation site. The final installation, carried out by Heerema Marine Contractors using the SSCV "Thialf," one of the world's largest semi-submersible cranes, was completed as planned. All 64 foundations, including the 70-meter-long, 1,350-ton monopiles, were successfully installed. Thanks to our professional team and dedicated partners, we navigated the partially overlapping operational processes, ensuring the smooth execution of load-out, interim transport, load-in, onshore handling, storage, and load-out for offshore installation. Located 85 kilometers northwest of Borkum and 110 kilometers west of Helgoland, EnBW is constructing Germany’s largest offshore wind park, which is set to generate 960 megawatts by the end of 2025. We remain committed to supporting this project until the wind turbines are fully installed and operational. With DAkkS accreditation, we continue to ensure compliance with all necessary industry standards, guaranteeing the integrity, safety, and success of offshore projects. Busy times at Con4Mare! ✨ Nautical Expert at SeaRenergy, Maximilian Drygas, swiftly responded when Con4Mare GmbH & Cie. KG called for additional manpower. He conducted inspections on two Cargo Barges, two Tugs, and the Heerema Marine Contractors mighty Thialf for EnBW’s HeDreiht project. Following this, he proceeded to examine two additional Tugs and two Jack-up Barges for other offshore projects in Germany. These inspections, spanning across three countries, are crucial for the smooth operation of four active offshore projects. After completing these tasks, Max is now heading offshore as a Marine Warranty Surveyor to supervise a rig move. His role involves overseeing complex operations like "float ons", transferring afloat assets to transport units for relocation. Georg's expertise ensures seamless project timelines, navigating challenges like the busy fairways of Singapore, where he recently accompanied the transport of TenneT TSO GmbH's platform DolWin epsilon.
