Backed by extensive research and data from over 500 individuals with different blood pressure levels and changes, we have an algorithm that is able to derive blood pressure in a wide range of use cases. Why is this work important? The ear canal offers a measurement place with consistent blood flow, making it less susceptible to issues like cold or shock that can affect measurements in the extremities. 💡 UNISONO project update: We are happy to announce a key milestone in the UNISONO project, a collaboration between Zana Technologies GmbH, the German Center for Heart Failure (DZHI) at the Universitätsklinikum Würzburg, and cosinuss°. Initiated in 2022, UNISONO aims to develop an in-ear sensor with integrated voice recognition for continuous vital monitoring and AI-assisted clinical phenotyping in chronic heart failure. ❤ Recently, we have completed the in-ear sensor prototype. In addition to measuring vital parameters, the device now features an integrated speaker and microphone for audio functionality. A feasibility study will soon begin at the University Hospital Würzburg, where approximately 15 patients will use the device in a home setting over three months. Both vital data and voice recordings will be collected in order to obtain novel vocal biomarkers for AI-supported analysis. We look forward to sharing further results in the near future. Dr.-Ing.
