Biopress berichtet in seinem heutigen Newsletter über den besorgniserregenden Zustand der Ackerböden in der EU https://lnkd.in/dby-_ZUr Das ist auch Cotonea ein Anliegen! Dort steht: "Der Stickstoffgehalt des Bodens steigt, der Kohlenstoffgehalt fällt." Stickstoff meint Stickstoff aus Kunstdünger, der in Form von Salzen vorliegt. Die Pflanze braucht Stickstoff zwar, aber in anderer Form wäre es besser (Ammonium) Und der fallende Gehalt an Kohlenstoff (Grundbaustein des Lebens) macht deutlich, dass die Bodenlebewesen abnehmen. Es braucht mehr Biolandbau. EU Bürokratie ist keine ausreichende Antwort.

Anlässlich des Zukunftsforums auf dem Kerenzerberg letzte Woche, hat Cotonea eine Deep Dive Session ausgerichtet. Das Thema war Aspekte der Nachhaltigkeit von Biobaumwolle. Ein Schwerpunkt waren die landwirtschaftlichen Praktiken incl. dem Unterschied zwischen regenerativem Anbau und Bioanbau. Um es noch einmal klar zu sagen, regenerative Praktiken sind hilfreich und notwendig, um ausgelaugt Böden wieder fruchtbar zu machen. Ein holistischer Biolandbau ist das Beste, was man tun kann zur Sicherung der Fruchtbarkeit der Ackerböden und unserer Lebensgrundlagen. Weitere Schwerpunkte waren die Benennung aller wichtigen Einflüsse auf die Nachhaltigkeit in jeder Stufe der Fertigungskette. Zum Schluss wurden noch die Grundlinien für Biobaumwolltextilien am Ende des Nutzungszyklusses beleuchtet. Zu diesem Themengebiet ist Cotonea jederzeit offen für Fragen und Anregungen

Regenerative agriculture - the way back A new buzzword is spreading, regenerative agriculture. What is it and how can we assess it?
