Cluster decorated recognition elements on DNA origami for enhanced raman spectroscopic detection methods 🇪🇺 GA 964248
Info
The project "DeDNAed" intends to develop a novel, innovative biosensing platform whose ad-vantages and benefits are in terms of sensitivity, versatility and being ultrafast by an optical ap-proach. Our platform will be based on the assembly and integration of sensing elements (trans-ducer and bioreceptor) by DNA origami. The DNA origami will serve as a “nano breadboard” in order to precisely control the position of these elements and thus the sensor architecture at the nanometer scale. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 964248. 🇪🇺 Posts and shares reflect only the views of the project owner.

DeDNAed hat dies direkt geteilt
Last week, I travelled to Eindhoven to attend the First International Symposium on Continuous Real-Time Biomolecular Sensing. The symposium was truly inspiring, thanks to the exceptional presentations from leading experts in the field. I had the opportunity to present a poster on the DeDNAed project, where TECNALIA Research & Innovation participated, highlighting the advancements made in this rapidly evolving area. Continuous real-time biomolecular sensing has the potential to revolutionize how we approach diagnostics and treatment, expanding the possibilities of preventative healthcare. I’m excited to be part of this journey and look forward to further contributing to this transformative field. 🤝 #BiomolecularSensing #RealTimeMonitoring

DeDNAed hat dies direkt geteilt
I’ve just returned from the 11th International Conference on Biomedical Engineering and Systems (ICBES 2024) in Barcelona, and it was an incredible experience! 🙌 I had the chance to explore the latest advancements in biomedical engineering and learn from various fields, thanks to the highly interdisciplinary nature of the conference. It was also a great opportunity to present the European projects NextGenMicrofluidics and DeDNAed, in which TECNALIA Research & Innovation has been involved. The response and interest from the audience were exceptional, and the conversations with researchers and experts were truly enriching. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and for inviting me to chair two sessions. 🤝 #ICBES2024 #BiomedicalEngineering

What does it mean to immobilize DNA? How do you make DNA origami? Our last partner update was with KSI Meinsberg. Their team is responsible for the production of the DNA origami structures and the hybrid structures with aptamers, antibodies and gold nanoparticles. Partner University of Potsdam is essential to our project. We sat down with Saloni Agarwal and Frank Bier to discuss their work including as many different biorecognition elements and analyte pairs as possible and characterizing the binding kinetics of these elements for the DeDNAed #biosensor. Last month, two DeDNAed partners presented our project at the European South Atlantic Biophysics Congress #ESAB2024 in Donostia - San Sebastián, Spain. Mathis Janssen of Technische Universität Chemnitz presented a poster “Determination of Mg-Ion concentration in DNA Origami in buffer solutions“. Aitziber López Cortajarena of CIC biomaGUNE gave an overview during the satellite event. Congrats to both!
