𝗗𝗝𝗪 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 We are honored to have met with the new Ambassador of Japan to Germany, H. E. Mitsuko Shino, who will officially begin her work in Berlin mid-November 2024. H. E. Shino has been living in Germany several times before, amongst them as language student and appointments within the Japanese Embassy in Berlin in the early 2000s. For decades, DJW - Deutsch-Japanischer Wirtschaftskreis - 日独産業協会 and the Japanese Embassy have shared a steadfast partnership, fostering deep ties between Germany and Japan. This collaboration has been invaluable in advancing our common goals and supporting Japanese-German relations. As we warmly welcome the new ambassador, we look forward to building on this strong foundation together, in finding new paths of successful cooperation, cultural exchange, and mutual growth! Welcome, Ambassador Shino! #WeAreDJW #GermanJapaneseRelations #WarmWelcome

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗝𝗪’𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝘆𝗼 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘂𝗺 🌏 Our recent DJW - Deutsch-Japanischer Wirtschaftskreis - 日独産業協会 symposium in Tokyo was not only a platform for insightful discussions on Japan’s demographic challenges and foreign labor integration but also a fantastic opportunity to connect with our valued partners and Japan-based members 🇩🇪🇯🇵. As DJW continues to expand its presence in Japan, we are committed to building and reinforcing the bridges between Germany and Japan. Meeting face-to-face with our network here in Tokyo highlights the importance of strong partnerships in fostering understanding and collaboration. It’s these interactions that allow us to share expertise, address pressing issues together, and build a foundation for sustainable growth 🌱. 🌐💡The vibrant exchange of ideas and the connections formed reaffirmed DJW’s role in bringing together leaders and professionals from diverse backgrounds. Our work both in Germany and in Japan is driven by a shared vision: to create a community where we, as community based in and from Germany and Japan, can come together to exchange, innovate, and support one another for our joint future. Thank you to all who attended our DJW symposium and contributed to our mission of strengthening German-Japanese relations 🤗🙏🏼🙏🏾. #WeAreDJW #Networking #InternationalPartnerships #Community

𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽: 𝗟𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗝𝗪 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗥𝗶𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 👏👨🎓 It was a privilege to lecture at the Ibaraki Campus of Ritsumeikan University, where we had the chance to reach around 250 motivated students of intercultural managament and business studies! Engaging with the next generation and seeing their excitement to tackle global challenges firsthand was truly inspiring. Together, we explored the significance of intercultural relations and cooperation, touching on how these elements can shape and strengthen our interconnected world. 🌏 🎙️ 📝 Following the lecture, we were interviewed on these topics, diving deeper into the students' views and perspectives on international collaboration as well as cooperational approaches within intercultural teams on daily basis. The results will be incorporated in the students' end-of-the-year theses, and we were honored to be part of such a huge step for them. 🎇 We wrapped up with a DJW socializing event, where rich conversations continued, and new connections were made. It’s wonderful to see the enthusiasm for bridging cultures and fostering relationships that support our global community: Davin Tiedemann, Mathias Maul, Angela Kessel, Kathleen K., Kazuya Yoshida, Anne Pomsel Thank you to Rolf D. Schlunze for facilitating the meetings and organizing a wonderfully intercultural day for all of us within the DJW - Deutsch-Japanischer Wirtschaftskreis - 日独産業協会 universe 🙏🎉! #WeAreDJW #EducationIsKey #InterculturalApproach

The German Economic Roundtable has become an institution in Kansai region; having premiered back in 2017, this time we held an inspiring event on Digital Education and Learning 🌐📚! 🤝🏼 Thanks to the valuable partnership between Consulate General Osaka-Kobe, German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan (AHK Japan), and DJW - Deutsch-Japanischer Wirtschaftskreis - 日独産業協会, we were able to yet again welcome 55 participants to the event. Together with Koichi Kise (Osaka Metropolitan University), Nora Sar (Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation), and Mayor Ryosuke Takashima (City of Ashiya), we explored the challenges and opportunities of digitization, especially in the context of learning, professional development and training. 🌐 While digital transformation can be daunting, our discussion concluded on an optimistic note. With the right framework and accessible resources, digital learning offers powerful benefits: 1️⃣ Increased Accessibility: Knowledge reaches learners worldwide, breaking down geographic and financial barriers. 2️⃣ Flexible Learning Pathways: Digital tools allow for customized and self-paced education, empowering individuals to learn in ways that work best for them. 3️⃣ Enhanced Collaboration: Digital platforms facilitate knowledge exchange across cultures and time zones, fostering innovative ideas and partnerships. Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to the conversation! We look forward to continuing this dialogue and meeting again soon! 🌟👋 #WeAreDJW #DigitalEducation #LifelongLearning #GermanJapaneseExchange

Exhibiting at the "Industrial Fair in Shinshu 2024" / 『産業フェアin信州2024』, DJW - Deutsch-Japanischer Wirtschaftskreis - 日独産業協会 had the privilege of meeting Governor Abe, who emphasized the importance of collaboration with Germany several times in his opening speech. His vision for stronger connections between our countries truly resonated, reinforcing why we were there: to deepen these valuable partnerships 🇯🇵🇩🇪. Our DJW exhibition at the fair allowed us to connect directly with diverse local industries - from precision manufacturing and advanced technology to traditional crafts unique to Nagano 🧶🪵👩🏽💻. 💬💭 Meeting with DJW members was another highlight, as it provided firsthand insight into how German and Japanese companies can support each other’s growth. As always, it was fantastic to see Sabine Ganter-Richter, Dr. René Reiners of Fraunhofer-Institut für Angewandte Informationstechnik FIT, and Dr. Kiyoshi Tanaka of 信州大学 again, as well as meeting Frauke Jenke of the City of Bonn, and Lena Klöckner of Stadtwerke Bonn. 🫱🏾🫲🏼🌐 This strong bilateral and personal network is critical in today’s world, bridging cultures and expertise to foster mutual innovation and economic resilience. Strengthening these connections not only benefits businesses but also builds lasting cultural ties and shared solutions for a global future. Looking forward to the next steps in this journey and continuing to build invaluable bridges between Japan and Germany! #WeAreDJW #Nagano #Cooperation #JapanAndGermany
