Colocating trading systems near major exchanges? It’s our way to ensure lightning-fast trade execution. But another type of colocation is also on top of mind when it comes to unlocking precious flexibility in the energy sector. 🔋 Battery colocation is all about pairing energy storage with renewable sources or key grid infrastructure. It makes the entire system smarter and more efficient. Instead of wasting excess energy when the grid is overloaded, colocated batteries can store it for later, ensuring it’s used when demand peaks. The benefits are clear: 🗑️ Less wasted energy during high production. 💲 Lower costs by sharing infrastructure and grid connections. ⚙️ Better efficiency by charging directly from renewables. 💪 A more stable and reliable grid. Of course, colocating batteries is not without challenges. Should you go with AC coupling for simplicity, or DC coupling for better efficiency? And what about staying in touch with complex regulations that vary from region to region? These are questions that need answering, but the payoff is worth it. Colocation - whether for trading or batteries - makes us move faster, smarter, and be more prepared for what’s next. ➡️

And I think that it's exactly the level of intensity needed to stay ahead in the future energy market.
