Capgemini, a global leader in business and technology transformation, is ambitiously advancing its climate goals, with efficient practices and sustainability at the core of its mission. Capgemini India is focusing on two key initiatives in this effort. First, in partnership with ebm-papst, its facilities have retrofitted various ventilation systems for years. More than 1,000 high-efficiency EC fans have been installed, reducing energy consumption by around 30% per retrofit. The second initiative is data-driven building technology that integrates all systems—a seamless task thanks to the fans' MODBUS interface. All of this is monitored and controlled from the Energy Command Center in Bangalore. As a result of these initiatives, Capgemini India has reached some of its climate targets years ahead of schedule. “Together with ebm-papst, we want to push the boundaries of innovation in our industries,” says Viswanathan Rajendran, Vice President of Engineering Services & Sustainability for Corporate Real Estate Services. Florian Entleitner and Florian Fuchs are turning up the heat in the heat pump market with their Eureka air heat pump. Their goal was ambitious: to maximize output while minimizing energy consumption. And they achieved it—thanks to a precisely engineered cooling concept and the use of ebm-papst fans such as the AxiBlade 710.
