Wir fördern die #Biodiversität auf unserem Firmengelände! 🌳 🍃 Daher beteiligen wir uns mit Freude an dem gemeinsamen Modellprojekt des Netzwerk Umwelt Unternehmen im Land Bremen“ und des Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland e.V. (BUND Bundesgeschäftsstelle), das mit Mitteln des Bremer Senats für Umwelt, Klima und Wissenschaft gefördert wird. Mehr Biodiversität – was heißt das konkret? Unser Ziel ist es, das #Betriebsgelände von Ecocool ökologisch wertvoller zu gestalten. Dafür setzen wir Maßnahmen um, die den Anteil an #Grünflächen erhöhen und versiegelte Flächen reduzieren. Dies soll die Biodiversität des Betriebsgelände stärken und neue #Lebensräume für verschiedene Tier- und Pflanzenarten schaffen. Wie gehen wir vor? Das Projekt ist langfristig angelegt. Den Auftakt bildete eine Grundstücksbegehung mit dem #BUND, um den aktuellen Biodiversitäts-Status auf unserem Gelände zu erfassen. Auf Basis dieser Erhebung wurde ein Biodiversitäts-Score ermittelt, der uns zeigt, wo wir stehen und welche Potenziale noch ausgeschöpft werden können. Bereits jetzt tragen unser Kräuterrasen, ein angelegter Teich und eine artenschutzgerechte Beleuchtung zu einer soliden Biodiversität bei. Die #Analyse ergab, dass unser Gelände aktuell im mittleren Bereich liegt – es gibt also noch Potential nach oben. Unsere nächsten Schritte Gemeinsam mit dem BUND haben wir #Handlungsempfehlungen entwickelt, um die Biodiversität weiter zu steigern. Zu den geplanten Maßnahmen gehören: ·        das Pflanzen von Bäumen und heimischen Pflanzenarten, ·        das Anlegen einer Benjeshecke und ·        die Etablierung von Sonderbiotopen. Derzeit prüfen wir zusammen mit der Geschäftsleitung, welche Maßnahmen kurzfristig umsetzbar sind und welche in den mittel- und langfristigen Planungen berücksichtigt werden. Wir freuen uns, Teil dieses wertvollen Biodiversitätsprojekts zu sein und auf den weiteren Austausch mit unseren Projektpartnern vom BUND und dem „Partnerschaft Umwelt Unternehmen“.  

Erfolgreich im QM: Bereits zum zweiten Mal haben die Ecocool GmbH sowie die Ecocool Service GmbH die #Rezertifizierung für das #Qualitätsmanagement-System nach ISO 9001:2015 absolviert. Anfang November stellte uns die DEKRA nach bestandenem Audit die Zertifikate aus. Die Rezertifizierung bedeutet uns viel, denn wir stellen höchste Ansprüche an die Qualität, Zuverlässigkeit und Wirtschaftlichkeit unserer Produkte. The 2nd day of our #Pharma #ColdChain #Meeting was all about #sustainability. Our speakers highlighted the aspects of ecological and economic sustainability. It became clear that #pharmaceutical #logistics is facing the challenge of combining the safety and quality of temperature-controlled pharmaceutical transportation with ecological requirements more than ever before. Christian Schneidewind from Bayer showed how #rail #transports from Europe to Asia help to reduce the #carbon #footprint and save costs at the same time, especially when shifting the mode of transportation from air freight to rail. Another advantage of land transportation by rail is that the goods can be monitored remotely at all times, which increases safety. Rolf Lucht from CEVA Logistics explained the industry's entire task of implementing sustainability at all levels: From the product to transportation planning to green logistics approaches in the selection of alternative transportation systems such as electric trucks or alternative fuels, so-called Sustainable Air Fuels (SAF). Glenn Marquis from AeroSafe Global presented together with Tine Heiselbaek from Novo Nordisk and Lukas von See, CEO of Ecocool Service GmbH. The three companies work in partnership to provide and retrieve #multiuse #boxes for #clinical #trials.The partners explained the ingenious system for reusing pharmaceutical boxes, which are used in the 2 to 8 degree segment using #PCM #cooling elements. By reusing the packaging material, a total of 8.3 million kilowatt hours of energy were saved and 25% less CO2 was emitted in the period from 2022 to 2023. Ecocool Managing Director Florian Siedenburg gave an insight into the company's sustainability activities. These range from the production of #solar energy to the use of #electric #cars and the #energy #optimization of the #refrigerated #warehouse. With regard to Ecocool's packaging, he presented the growing portfolio of sustainable solutions based on #recycled PET and recycled paper materials for the boxes and thermal covers. The two-day congress concluded with a panel discussion moderated by Bruno Lukas, owner of the logistics consultancy Green Logistics Enabler. He discussed the upcoming megatrends in the pharma supply chain with Christian Schneidewind from Bayer, with Frank M. Mauler from Kuehne+Nagel, also with Domenico Winter from 🚚🔗 tempmate.® and Mario Kajewski from Pharmaserv Logistics. Good morning from Bremerhaven! We are looking forward to day 2 of our “Pharma Cold Chain Meeting” with our customers and service providers from the pharmaceutical industry. On these two days, we will also be celebrating our anniversary together: 25 years of Ecocool! 😀 Yesterday, our speakers gave us many exciting insights into the latest trends and technological developments in pharmaceutical logistics. Ecocool founder Heinrich Siedenburg kicked things off by talking about the beginnings of the company's foundation and its growth over the past 25 years. Ecocool has stood for “Ecology and Economy” from the very beginning, emphasized our founder. In the first topic block #Pharma #Ocean #Freight, Haschmat Sadaat from #DHL explained which measures are suitable for minimizing risks in temperature-controlled transport by sea. The focus was on “power-off times” when handling goods at the port if the reefers are not connected to the power grid for a certain period of time. The Ecocool thermal covers are an economical and safe solution here. Ecocool Managing Director Florian Siedenburg also addressed the topic of risk prevention and used two reference projects to explain the precise functionality and effect of thermal covers in protecting temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals during power-off times in the reefer, particularly in the critical range of 2 to 8 degrees Celsius target temperature. Olamide Anibaba from 🚚🔗 tempmate.®.® presented the portfolio of online and offline data loggers that use GPS, WIFI and GSM technology to help monitor temperature-controlled pharmaceutical transports and thus ensure supply chain visibility. In his presentation, Stefan Braun from SmartCAE Stefan Braun explained how IT simulations with digital twins help logistics companies to select the right transport packaging for temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals and use it economically. The simulation of technical solutions with lighter packaging helped logistics service providers to reduce costs and minimize the CO2 footprint of transports. At the end of the first day, Marco Del Giudice presented the #Omnia IT platform, which combines various IT monitoring systems for data loggers on a central online platform and thus provides pharmaceutical logistics providers with the best possible visibility of the monitored transports.
