  • 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗦𝘁 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲!🎄 Today, the ECOOLTEC #team will be munching two so-called “Stutenkerle”, each a whole metre tall, a treat by our CEO Henning Altebäumer. 👉In other parts of Germany, this traditional pastry is also known as “Weckmann” or “Klausenmann”. In Switzerland, it is called “Grittibänz”, and in Alsace “Mannele” to mention just a few name variations. 👉The “Stutenkerl” is made of yeast dough, watches his environment with raisin eyes and is decorated with a clay pipe, which is said to represent a bishop's crozier. 👉The custom of the Stutenkerl goes back to Bishop Nicholas of Myra. 👉Depending on the region, Stutenkerle are enjoyed as a little treat on St. Martin's Day on 11th November or on 6th December in honour of St. Nicholas – no matter the date, they are always delicious!😋 #nikolaus #food #teamspirit

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗙-𝗴𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘀! ‘Fluorinated refrigerants are among the most climate-damaging substances - and are therefore strictly regulated in the EU,’ writes the Viennese newspaper DER STANDARD. But as an undercover investigation by “Der Standard”, paper trail media GmbH and DER SPIEGEL shows, the black market for F-gases is flourishing despite this regulation. 💡 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺: The F-Gas Regulation has caused prices for synthetic refrigerants such as R134a to rise sharply - ten kilogrammes currently cost more than 600 euros. However, according to the research, the refrigerants are sold on the black market at a fraction of the price, often without regard for the environment or safety.   ⚠️ 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁: Harmful to the climate: millions of CO₂ equivalents escape every year due to leaking appliances or improper disposal. Health risks: F-gases belong to the per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (#PFAS), which can be harmful to health. Damage to #refrigeration systems: Contaminated refrigerants can destroy cooling units. Legal consequences: Importing and purchasing non-certified refrigerants is illegal and punishable by law. 💡𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Natural refrigerants! They are the alternative: ✔️ Climate-friendly with negligible greenhouse gas potential ✔️ Safe and inexpensive to operate ✔️ Efficient and sustainable, like the TM182 from ECOOLTEC Our ECOOLTEC TM182 uses natural refrigerants and offers an economical, environmentally friendly and safe solution - for both stationary refrigeration and #transport refrigeration. ➡️ More about the research: You can find the article by "Der Standard" in the comments. ➡️

Building on the success of ATMOsphere’s recent first-ever event dedicated solely to #MAC, an entire #ATMOEurope session has been dedicated to transport refrigeration case studies. 🚗❄️ 🔹 Food wholesaler Ferdinand Bierbichler GmbH & Co KG has been piloting ECOOLTEC Grosskopf GmbH’s electric TM182 propylene/CO2 transportation refrigeration units, and Ecooltec CEO Henning Altebäumer and Bierbichler Managing Director Michael R. shared the first results of the collaboration in Prague. These included a massive #emissions reduction compared to Bierbichler’s previous R410A-based diesel TRUs and reduced noise emissions. Bierbichler also announced plans to expand the TM182 to its entire fleet of delivery trucks. 🔹 pbx has developed a lightweight #propane TRU, and CTO Dominik Radler shared a case study on its performance and how it’s helping pharmaceutical logistics firm Schachinger decarbonize its operations. Radler also shared a project PBX is working on where its propane TRU will be integrated directly into the box of an electric transport truck, with the EV expected to have a total payload capacity of 1,450kg, which he said could be a world record. 🔹 Kirsten Orschulok, Project Lead at the GIZ, and Santiago Martinez, Laboratory Manager and Core Refrigeration Lead at Thermo King, shared details about the GIZ’s “Green Reefers Project” to develop an #R290 maritime reefer by 2026. It will be benchmarked against Thermo King’s CFF unit and expected to provide the same #cooling capacity, operating range and temperature control quality – but with 10% more energy efficiency. 🔹 Paul van Rooijen, Managing Director of Aurora Netherlands, showed that #CO2heatpumps have some real competition from propane heat pumps in the electric bus sector. His case study focused on an R290 heat pump, made by Aurora and put into serial production in 2024, and the advantages the company identified of using R290 over R744. These include a better heating COP, better cooling EER and a simpler layout of the refrigerant cycle. #GoNatRefs #ATMOEurope #NaturalRefrigerants #TransportRefrigeration Michael Hines

  • 𝗔 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗯𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝟱𝟮𝟬 𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗢₂ 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲! Impressive results from the twelve distribution trucks that Ferdinand Bierbichler are operating with the ECOOLTEC TM182! Comparing the ECOOLTEC TM182 to a #transport #refrigeration unit, which is also purely electric but uses F-gases as a refrigerant, results in a total of 520 tonnes of CO₂ equivalents saved over the eight-year service life of the vehicles - simply by using natural refrigerants. 💪 💡To make this figure more comprehensible: This means a saving of around 65 tonnes of CO₂ per truck per year. This amount corresponds to the emissions caused by a modern, fuel-efficient petrol engine over 500,000 kilometres, i.e. more than twelve trips around the world! 👉Michael Reiserer, Managing Director of Bierbichler, and ECOOLTEC CEO Henning Altebäumer, will be sharing this result today at the ATMOsphere Europe Summit 2024 in Prague. In their presentation ‘Update on practical experience with natural refrigerants in transport refrigeration systems’, they will detail the climate-friendly technology and its savings. 👉In addition, Michael Reiserer will also be part of the end user panel discussion about practical experience with natural refrigerants in transport refrigeration. Both Henning and Michael will be available to answer questions during the summit and are looking forward to exciting discussions! We are proud to once again support this important event as a sponsor and to be represented with a stand.🙏 A big step for transport refrigeration - and an even bigger one for climate protection! #GoNatRefs ATMOsphere Marc Chasserot Charlotte Darniche Michael R. • 𝗟𝗲𝘁'𝘀 𝗴𝗼: The German Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference of the German Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (DKV) is about to begin in Dresden. 👉The DKV's annual conference is the top event in the #refrigeration industry. Our CEO Henning Altebäumer and ECOOLTEC development engineer Matthias Bacht are ready to go and are looking forward to plenty of expert conversations. 👉Together with Prof Dr Andrea luke from the University of Kassel, Matthias Bacht will be presenting the exceptional properties of natural refrigerants for #transport refrigeration to around 700 participants. They will explain how a reliable and particularly efficient operation of such systems can be guaranteed in practice.💡 👉We at ECOOLTEC are convinced that what is already standard practice in stationary refrigeration must also become the norm in transport refrigeration. The use of natural refrigerants offers significant advantages for the environment and health. Unlike F-gases, they only have a negligible greenhouse gas potential and do not contribute to the formation of harmful PFAS. #GoNatRefs Deutscher Kälte- und Klimatechnischer Verein e.V. • PFAS, caused by F-gases from transport refrigeration systems, are a serious problem for everyone's health. The solution is available, and has been for some time in stationary refrigeration, but also in road freight transport. Now fleet operators need to be made more aware of the problem and the solution. Thanks for doing so Norman Highnam MInstR
