In 2024, Elektron Motors had an incredibly promising and successful year, achieving many milestones in pursuit of our goals. Since 2017, Elektron Motors has embarked on an extremely complex and challenging journey. Our journey started from scratch and continued with defining and solidifying our brand identity, finding the right product-market fit and crafting a detailed ten-year business plan. We then navigated through the engineering and design phases, and once the design was frozen we moved forward into mould development & production, component production and assembly of the pre-production car. While taking the steps above we also carefully planned our supply chain, assembly, sales strategies, marketing, after sales, public relations, human resources, and series production, based on our business plan. Despite the complexities, we’ve succeeded in each task we have determined till now, thanks to the people who believe in us, our sponsors Kordsa and Acs Kompozit and our dedicated team members like Melek Aydoğdu, next to me in the photos, who share our passion and determination for Elektron Quasar. Each team member -25 people “for now”- operates with precision and harmony, much like a Swiss watch. The definition says it all: “Quasars – the universe's brightest and most powerful objects – ignite when galaxies collide. These celestial entities can shine a trillion times brighter than the Sun.” What fascinates me most about Quasars is their pure, unparalleled power, beyond anything else. Inspired by the gigantic quasars in the far sides of the universe, the Elektron Quasar features a liquid-cooled, 4-electric motor setup with two-speed gearboxes—one for the two front motors and one for the two rear motors. It boasts a unique battery system combining Li-ion batteries and ultra-capacitors. This modern design avoids outdated, bulky technologies from a century ago, addition of which to the chassis would increase Elektron Quasar’s weight as well as its carbon-footprint. The word “best” can take on many meanings. In football, it means “the champion”; in a race, “the fastest”; and in exams, “the most successful student.” For areas like beauty and art, “best” is often subjective. However, when it comes to car chassis, “best” is unequivocally defined: the strongest while being light and spacious. The chassis of the Elektron Quasar not only stands as the strongest in a road car, with an 81.2 kN/degree torsional rigidity even without the portion of the battery pack inside the cabin, but it is also the longest single-piece carbon monocoque in a road car. Therefore, the core of the Elektron Quasar is the “best” in the automotive industry.
