This taught her the importance of confidence and courage, while at the same time creating an environment where each team member's strengths and experience contribute to finding effective solutions. Valērija advocates for an open-door policy, fostering an environment where team members feel valued and empowered to contribute. Her pride lies in witnessing the success of her team’s initiatives. Understanding the challenges of work-life balance, especially after becoming a mother, she prioritizes well-being for herself and her team, promoting a workplace where everyone can thrive. For aspiring women leaders, Valērija offers a powerful reminder: “Block time in your calendar for thinking, self-reflection and planning the next steps of your career.” This way, you can enhance innovation and productivity. Have you ever chatted with your family doctor, easily and conveniently via your mobile phone? For customers of DKV Seguros, this is now part of everyday life in the event of illness or for health concerns. Grupo DKV is responding to the increasing demand for private insurance coverage in Spain by offering a unique digital health solution – Personal Doctor. Personal Doctor is a digital health insurance that allows policyholders to choose a family doctor who knows the patient, refers them to specialists and diagnostic tests as needed, and offers prevention plans. Policyholders also have a health assistant at their side who, for example, obtains authorisations and manages doctor's appointments. 🩺 This form of digital health insurance is based on an app that can be used to organise everything needed for comprehensive healthcare. For example, patients can contact their family doctor via chat or video call, view upcoming appointments and find everything related to their health and policies in one place. 📱 Thanks to Pilar Abós, Jose-Ramon Lamenca, Dr. Jhoan Silva Jaimes MD ERGO intends to be a digital leader in the insurance industry by 2025 – both in Germany and in its core international markets. In today’s digital landscape, GenAI is not just a trend, it is an integral part of our daily interactions and decision-making processes. While we enjoy the benefits of this technology, there are challenges we should consider. 🤖 A recent article on //next sheds light on two significant phenomena related to GenAI: hallucinations and biases. These terms may sound technical, but their implications are relevant to all of us. Hallucinations refer to the ability of LLMs to generate information that appears plausible yet is not based on real data. Biases, on the other hand, can arise when the data used to train the model reflects skewed perspectives. Nicolas Konnerth, Head of Conversational AI at ERGO and an expert in AI ethics, emphasises the importance of addressing these issues head-on. 🚀 Shaping the future: the ERGO Pioneers are 70 top talents from around the world who work together with our management on innovative and creative ideas. The programme kicked off in early July with an event in Düsseldorf, where the Pioneers met around 30 executives and board members of the ERGO Group. The aim: to discuss forward-looking ideas from the insurance industry that will have a significant impact on the way insurance companies operate and are managed in the future. But the Pioneer Days 2024 are more than just a one-off inspiring event. Since the summer, the talents have been working together with their mentors in so-called ‘Mentored Working Groups’ to develop innovative approaches. The participants bring a wide range of perspectives to the table – different age groups, genders, cultural backgrounds, professional experiences and areas of expertise. This diversity forms the basis for creativity and innovation. At the same time, the Pioneer Days promote networking, learning from one another, and personal and professional development.
