EFT now ATO for Advanced UPRT EFT expands its scope and has recently received CAA approval as ATO for Advanced #UPRT (Upset Prevention and Recovery Training). This represents a logical next step in our growth plan, as we have the required instructors and aircraft already available. Our students have the choice, in which aircraft to perform the training: either the side-by-side aerobatic AS202 Bravo NG or the tandem cockpit #EXTRA 330 LX. Course duration is 3 days: one day of theory lectures and two days of flight training. Come and get UPSET in Siegerland!

Celebrating the CAT2 Class of 2024-A Graduation Ceremony We are thrilled to announce the successful graduation of the CAT2 Class of 2024-A! This milestone event was highlighted by an inspiring keynote speech from Didier del Salle, the legendary former Airbus Helicopters test pilot and the first man to reach Mt. Everest by helicopter. The ceremony was a heartfelt occasion attended by our students, esteemed instructors, supportive family members, and close friends. The evening included a formal dinner, where the class presented the remarkable "Top Fun" video and where Céline Bonnefous and Wouter Plaetinck delivered humorous speeches, celebrating their journey and special moments. A special thank you to Dieter Reisinger, our exceptional Head of Training, who skillfully guided us through the program with his typical enthusiasm. We are proud to present the Best of Class award to Guillaume R. for his outstanding performance and commitment, while the student test pilot Anton Dilcher and the instructor Martin Hinterwaldner received the safety award. Congratulations to all our graduates from Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V., Lilium, H55, Daher and Bundeswehr (German Federal Armed Forces)! We look forward to follow your career steps in your future endeavors. #Graduation #CAT2Class2024 #Aviation #Achievement #TestPilot #LeadFlightTestEngineer #testpilotschool

EFT GOES BALLISTIC Another highlight for the CAT2 FW course: the field trip to the TU Delft | Aerospace Engineering, Netherlands. TU Delft is one of the most prestigious technical universities and its Aerospace Faculty is ranked 4th worldwide. The students had the opportunity to fly several sessions in the unique SIMONA full motion research simulator in order to experience the different aircraft behavior as a result of changes in flight control laws. During the session the students were able to communicate with the control room and ask for new setups, while being monitored by the test director. After that everybody was thrilled to finally enter the Variable Stability System Citation, which this time was used as a flying classroom. Every student received a tablet which displayed in real time the flown eigenmode maneuvers and also the 15 seconds of zero-g parabolas. CAT2 students had the privilege of getting access to assets which are used for CAT1 training only. EFT is excited to have entered this collaboration with TU Delft and is looking forward to further enhance it in the future with new aspects and topics. A big thanks to the TU Delft Aerospace team Hans Mulder, Alexander in 't Veld, Olaf Stroosma, Christophe De Wagter !

German Test Pilot School visits German Aerobatics Manufacturer In the frame of the CAT2 course EFT's students today visited Extra Aircraft, Germany's #1 aircraft manufacturer by aircraft sold. Our team was welcome by an impressive aerobatics show in the skies of Hünxe, just 2 hours from Siegerland, as the EXTRA team was practicing for the German championships scheduled in 2 weeks. After the air show we got an introduction into the company history and its various models by Christian HOCHHEIM, before walking through some of the shops and the assembly line. For sure the EXTRA NG caught the most interest of the students and also the instructors. During the field trip first discussions were held between the management of the two neighboring aerospace companies, which may lead to further cooperation. Thanks to Extra Aircraft for their hospitality and to Dominique ROLAND for organizing this field trip!

A highlight flying day at EFT: Yesterday the CAT2 students had the chance to experience a highlight of their course: besides a Tecnam P2008, the fully FTI equipped Remos GX, the aerobatic AS202 Bravo NG the #FANJET 600 had a fly-in at EDGS. Test pilot and LFTE students all accomplished performance tests in this exotic aircraft. It seemed that on every's student face there was a neverending smile when removing their helmet. Big thanks to FanJet Aviation GmbH and Martin Hinterwaldner! https://lnkd.in/gBtimub5 https://lnkd.in/gvCmxsUT

🔌⚡Exciting Update from the Skies! Thrilled to share the exhilarating journey of our recent flight of the #EASACAT2 course featuring the revolutionary #PipistrelVelisElectro aircraft, following a previous immersion in Electric Aviation Theory. With sustainability at the forefront, Electric Aviation has emerged as a pivotal branch in Germany and Europe's aviation landscape. Our course took a dive into the principles, advancements, and operational intricacies of e-aviation, paving the way for a greener and more efficient future of flight. Embarking on this enlightening journey were two bright minds representing leading electric aircraft manufacturers/integrators, #LILIUM and #H55. Their presence enriched the discourse, offering insights and perspectives from the forefront of innovation. During this day we observed and confirmed the operational limitations characteristic of e-aircraft, including endurance considerations and weather dependencies. Understanding these critical facets is paramount when designing and testing the reliability and resilience of electric flight. As we reflect on today's flight, it's evident that electric aviation isn't just a concept—it's a tangible reality shaping the future of air travel. #ElectricAviation #SustainableFlight #FlightTest #FutureOfAviation #TestPilotSchool

📅 Diary of a Lead Flight Test Engineer Candidate ! 🛩 📚 I started this week the prestigious CAT 2 Lead Flight Test Engineer training at the EURO FLIGHT TEST GmbH School in Siegerland Airport, Germany.🇩🇪 This is an incredible opportunity for me. Being surrounded by experts for the next 4 months, I am going to broaden my skills and progress as a flight test engineer. 🛫 This is an EASA-recognised course, during which I will get training as test director in different training scenarios, prepare and practice test flights in a Virtual Reality domain and fly at least 8 different aircraft types including multi-engine, jet and helicopter. 📉 During this first week, we focused on Flight Test Organisation regulations. We studied the processes behind flight testing, test hazard analysis, as well as aircraft system safety. I discovered new flight preparation and data analysis tools such as Marple. 🎓 Many thanks to Rolf Hellbutsch, Dr. Dieter Reisinger, Peter Hemmert and the Euro Flight Test team for their warm welcome, Dominique ROLAND ,Thibaut C. and Tarek Salah for their inspiring teaching and sharing of experiences. Follow me during this adventure with this weekly diary, and feel free to share it with anyone who wants to get started with flight testing ! 🛰
