This recognition is a true honor, as our consultancy has been proactive about uniting observability strategy across the entire Cisco portfolio and speaks to the relentless work of all our Evolutionaries. Over the past year, we have been innovating and delivering observability solutions, such as industry vertical capabilities for credit card processing, factory floor monitoring, eCommerce checkout health, and more. ♛ An Unforgettable Day at #StabilityGambit 2024! ♖ The #StabilityGambit event held yesterday at the innovative BaseCamp in Bonn was a resounding success, and we at Evolutio are thrilled to have been involved. A big thank you to Sven Sedlmeier and Ricardo Pesciotta for their contributions and representation at the event. The venue, celebrated for its creative and vibrant ambiance, perfectly complemented the spirit of the event. With attendees from across the Deutsche Telekom Group, the environment fostered productive collaboration, open conversations, and a genuine sense of unity. We were especially honored by the participation of the Telekom CIO Peter Leukert, who engaged actively throughout the day. The event featured an excellent mix of workshops, presentations, panel discussions, and interviews, offering us valuable insights and actionable strategies to enhance #ITStability. We are profoundly grateful for the invitation by Amir A. Kangarlou Ph.D. and to the dynamic moderators, Elizaveta Sokolova and René Schrader-Bölsche, whose energy and expertise ensured the event ran flawlessly. Stability Gambit: What is Your Next Move? As Chair of Deutsche Telekom’s Stability Gambit, I’m excited to announce the details of our newly rebranded annual event, Stability Gambit, set to take place on September 12th, 2024. This year’s event, themed “What’s Your Next Move?”, represents a crucial step in our ongoing commitment to IT Stability. Our event, previously known as “IT Stability Culture Day”, has grown & evolved, and the new name—Stability Gambit—captures this transformation. A "gambit" in chess refers to a strategic move made to secure a greater advantage. In the context of our IT landscape, it signifies our collective efforts to think ahead, anticipate challenges, and implement innovative solutions to ensure the resilience & reliability of our systems. The event will take place in Bonn. Registration will open at 9:00 am, with the event officially starting at 10:00 am. Our moderators, René Schrader-Bölsche and Elizaveta Sokolova, will guide us through a fully packed program. The agenda includes a variety of workshops, hands-on sessions, and presentations, all designed to provide insights into IT Stability and equip the participants with the tools to tackle current and future challenges. After the formal program concludes at 15:30 pm, the day will shift to networking & open discussions. Participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with technical support staff from various vendors and teams, allowing for in-depth conversations about specific issues and challenges. The evening will continue with a dinner and an afterwork party, providing a relaxed atmosphere for further networking and relationship-building. Stability Gambit is an exclusive event. To maximise success, all Deutsche Telekom Stability Owners (STOs) will take part in the event. This year is particularly special, as it will be the first time our STOs meet face-to-face. In addition to the STOs, we have also extended invitations to key individuals from across different functions within Deutsche Telekom organization. This diverse gathering will foster cross-functional collaboration and provide a comprehensive view of our IT stability efforts. We’re hosting this event not only to share knowledge and strategies but also to express our gratitude for the hard work and dedication of our Stability Owners. We believe OpenTelemetry (OTel) will underpin the observability posture of the future. It allows organizations to avoid vendor lock-in, and it's ideal for cloud-native workloads while still servicing the needs of legacy applications. We leverage this framework with our clients to standardize metrics, events, logs, and other telemetry signals to achieve MTTR more quickly and tie it to business KPIs across the organization. Further, OTel breaks down barriers between software developers and operations long-term. Since OTel is a developer-led effort, we expect our clients to adopt it widely over the next several years.
