Every compliance box ticked, with the German mining authority approval secured, and the ATEX upgrade was a resounding success. Compact, low-impact, remote, robotized—exactly what the industry has been waiting for.    A massive thank you to Vermilion Energy for putting their trust in Mantis and giving us the opportunity to prove our capabilities on the big stage. Proudly introducing the specially customized Combined Catch and Injection Tool (CCIT) 👍 Our task: 1. Pump cleaning fluid for dissolving paraffine blockage below set production packer in oil well 2. Keep required expenditure as low as possible, thus excluding treatments via coil tubing and complex workover applications Our challenge: 1. Torn GRE-tubing above production packer impedes pathway for commonly used downhole tools 2. Bottleneck in casing hinders effective removal of GRE-tubing prior to FES-treatment Our solution: In close collaboration with our client, the FES-tool experts planned, constructed, and optimized the fit-for-purpose Combined Catch and Injection Tool (CCIT). For cementing the 16″ casing in a geothermal well, we recently employed our brand-new Euro Twin Unit. Here, our FES-team mixed and pumped over 200 m³ of light-weight slurry at a constant density of 1.35 kg/L. Wie reibungslos und gut organisiert die Zusammenarbeit in der #Gasversorgung funktioniert, durfte ich am Montag bei einem Vor-Ort-Termin im Wiesenburger Maisfeld, an der Grenze von Brandenburg zu Sachsen-Anhalt erleben: An der B 246 erneuert ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH derzeit eine Ferngasleitung, wovon die Kunden und Kundinnen des nachgelagerten Verteilnetzbetreibers, der NBB Netzgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg mbH & Co. KG, während der Baumaßnahme überhaupt nichts mitbekommen. Unter den Abnehmern sind beispielsweise das Gas- und -Dampfturbinenkraftwerk Kirchmöser, ein Stahlwerk und unzählige private Haushalte in der Stadt Brandenburg/Havel. Denn die Versorgung mit Gas war und ist trotz des wirklich aufwendigen Eingriffs gesichert. Was in erster Linie natürlich ONTRAS, aber auch den beauftragten Experten der Firma Fangmann Energy Services GmbH & Co. KG zu verdanken ist, die mit einem Umpumpverdichter insgesamt 165.000 Kubikmeter Restgas in eine andere Leitung gepumpt haben. Während dieser Operation am offenen Herzen der Gasversorgung ist die Region am Montag und Dienstag durch GasCom-Equipment GmbH mit LNG ersatzversorgt worden. Umpumpen ist natürlich deutlich umweltfreundlicher als das Ausblasen oder das Abfackeln von Restgas. Erst wenn die alte Leitung gasfrei ist, können die eigentlichen Bauarbeiten unter der Regie von ONTRAS beginnen. Auf dieses nachhaltige, aber auch kostenintensive Verfahren hat sich auch die NBB Netzgesellschaft Berlin-Brandenburg mbH & Co. KG, eine wichtige Säule der GASAG-Gruppe, als Verteilnetzbetreiber vorbereitet. Unsere Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter sorgen letztlich dafür, dass in unserem Netzgebiet mit etwa 14.000 Kilometer Rohren die Energie störungsfrei fließt. Für mich ein weiterer, schöner Aha-Effekt, viele Stunden durch Brandenburg zu reisen und selbst an der Grenze zu Sachsen-Anhalt wiederholt auf Gasdruckregelstationen und Kolleginnen und Kollegen der NBB zu treffen, die eines vereint: Berlin, Brandenburg sowie Teile von Sachsen und Sachsen-Anhalt zuverlässig und in hoher Qualität mit Gas zu versorgen.
