Each month, we recognise FDM Consultants who excel in their client assignments, going above and beyond as acknowledged by their line managers 🏆 "After earning my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Quebec at Montreal, I joined FDM’s Software Engineering Practice, where I received invaluable coaching in key technologies such as Java, SQL and UNIX. Currently, I am on a client assignment as a QA Engineer, applying the skills acquired in FDM’s Skills Lab to ensure software quality through rigorous testing. Over time, my role has expanded significantly—in addition to QA, I've gained expertise in DevOps and software development, enabling me to contribute across the entire software development lifecycle. As a versatile engineer, my responsibilities include automating delivery processes, building software solutions and ensuring thorough testing to uphold high-quality standards." #WeAreFDM #COTM

Kicking off the festive season with our Returners Festive Party! ✨ It was great to welcome our returner consultants back to our London centre to celebrate their amazing work and achievements throughout 2024. The event brought together consultants just starting their FDM journey and long-standing consultants who have been with us for up to 8 years. Joining the celebrations were our CEO Rod Flavell and COO Sheila Flavell CBE. The FDM Returners Programme is all about supporting talented individuals returning to the workforce after an extended career break, whether for caregiving, further education, health, or other personal reasons. Well deserved, Jingyi! 👏 “In June 2022, I joined FDM's Change & Transformation Practice, where I quickly built a strong foundation in Scrum. I'm currently working as a Scrum Master on a client assignment with one of Canada’s largest banks, where I apply the expertise I developed in the Skills Lab, particularly around Scrum and Agile methodologies. In this role, I facilitate team development and ensure seamless collaboration between the product owner and the Scrum Team, driving continuous improvement and boosting overall performance. I have also expanded my financial knowledge and gained a deeper understanding of the subject areas I’ve been assigned to. We’re always proud to recognise the outstanding achievements of our consultants. Join us in congratulating Lucyna Trela, one of our November Consultants of the Month winners in the #UK, for going above and beyond in her role 🏆 "As a Tech Cyber Security Analyst, I am responsible for supporting Investment Banking, collaborating with restricted teams, providing remediation guidance and monitoring progress. My managers encouraged my initiatives related to automation and provided me with tools needed to bring these ideas to life. The outcomes of these initiatives have streamlined our processes, improved efficiency and reinforced data transparency and integrity. I work closely with the Vulnerability Threat Assessment (VTA) team, where I help assess vulnerability criticality and coordinate with engineers to ensure timely preparation of packages. I also liaise with remediation teams, guiding them on scope and compliance with company policies. Currently, I manage 19 restricted teams, where I lead Q&A sessions and provide direction across initiatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment within the team. At the FDM Skills Lab, I gained valuable skills in communication, analytical thinking, risk management and compliance, all of which have been highly applicable to my client assignments. Effective communication has allowed me to collaborate seamlessly across teams, while strong analytical skills have enabled me to identify and resolve complex issues. My understanding of risk and compliance has also been instrumental in ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards, particularly in areas like vulnerability management and remediation." #WeAreFDM #COTM
