A few weeks ago, our ship window frames were delivered to Brazil for an important project. After the installation, our colleague Gagik made the journey to ensure everything was done right and that the glass fit perfectly. Gagik's meticulous inspection after installation confirmed that every detail was spot on, ensuring accuracy of frame and glass. It’s this dedication to quality that ensures our windows not only meet but exceed expectations. While we can't share the inspection photos, we'll be re-posting the ship manufacturer's official launch ceremony images to show how our work is contributing to this remarkable project. Stay tuned!

A Legendary Vacation and a Proud History   Our CEO Henning Fehrmann is currently enjoying his vacation in a spectacular location: anchoring off the coast of Sardinia, right next to the legendary yacht Christina O, which was bought and transformed by none other than Aristotle Onassis. This yacht is a marvel of maritime history and a significant part of Fehrmann's legacy. Innovation and Tradition Back in the day, Fehrmann Windows had the honor of developing and producing the windows for the Christina O, including what were likely the world's first weathertight sliding windows for the owner's cabin located at the front under the bridge. These innovative windows set new standards and were commissioned by Aristotle Onassis himself during a visit to our company. Pioneering Work and Lasting Quality At that time, there were no established standards for fixed ship windows, let alone for sliding windows. This changed when my grandfather, Kurt Fehrmann, initiated the national standards committee for ship windows with DIN. Since the founding of this working group at the German Institute for Standardization (DIN), a member of the Fehrmann family has always been at the helm as chairman, ensuring the highest standards are maintained. Timeless Quality "A particularly remarkable aspect of this story is that about 14 years ago, the then-captain of the Christina O told me that the windows we manufactured were still intact and operational. This underscores the exceptional quality and durability of our products” says Henning Fehrmann.

This innovative solution uses augmented reality (AR) to enable the visibility of controls directly on the ship bridge's window, revolutionizing how maritime operations are conducted. "I can clearly see the immense benefits and endless possibilities that the smartWindow brings to the maritime industry. This innovative technology is a game-changer for enhancing visibility and control on the ship bridge, and I’m excited about the future advancements it will drive" says Matt.
