Info
When it comes to choosing new windows for a new building or renovation, the consultation mainly takes place in the supplier's showroom and on the construction site - this costs valuable time that is often lacking, especially during the construction phase. In order to offer end customers an alternative to the presentation of sample windows, window corners, colour fans or brochures, fenzta COM GmbH in cooperation with App Logik GmbH has now developed an app which, as a digital interface between suppliers and customers, relies on active dialogue and simultaneous visualisation of the selected components: The fenzta HOME App. The start-up fenzta COM GmbH was founded in 2021 by CEO Karl-Theo Roes in Düsseldorf. The wood technology and industrial engineering graduate has worked in the furniture, door, window, façade and glass industries since 1998.

𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 You can use a lighter to check for yourself whether the insulating glass has a thermal insulation coating: Hold it close to the insulating glass on the room side. In the case of double insulating glass, you will see four flames, two of which are close together. If one flame has a slightly different colour, this is due to the reflection of the thermal insulation coating. This is usually the second flame seen from the room side. With triple glazing, you will see six flames or three pairs of flames. Two flames will look slightly different in colour - usually the second and fifth flames - if thermal coatings are present. If the frames are in good condition, it may be sufficient to replace the old insulating glass with modern glass with a thermal insulation coating. In most cases, however, it means replacing the windows!

𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗿 Check the year of construction of the window. You can find it on the invoice or often on the spacers in the insulating glass. If the windows were built before 1996, the glass does not yet have a thermal insulation coating and therefore insulates poorly. If you do not know the date of manufacture, you will find out in the next post how you can use a simple lighter trick to check whether the insulating glass has a thermal insulation coating.

𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 Is the window tight against rain and wind? Clamp a sheet of paper in several places between the frame and the sash: if it can be pulled out easily when the sash is closed, then it is leaking at this point. The tightness can be improved by adjusting the fittings. The seals can also be replaced. If this is not possible or the effort is too great: replace it!

𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀 & 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀: 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 Before you get started and plan new windows: How good are your old ones? Does it make sense to replace them? Over the next few weeks, we would like to show you the 4 little tricks you can use to check whether your old windows are still in good condition. Today we take a close look at the material quality of the frame: If it is rotten, has damaged areas or is warped, then heat loss will occur. If a repair is not possible with reasonable effort: replace it!

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 For Johannes Maultasch, Head of Sun Protection at G.S. Stemeseder GmbH- Premium Aluminium Systems, the world of windows and sun protection needs digitalisation. For example, it is important that customers can place orders digitally. This allows the supplier to record all data without errors and create a quotation quickly. In addition, visualised orders are much easier to verify. After all, only insiders can make sense of an order number, but a picture is worth a thousand words. fenzta COM hat dies direkt geteilt
