Our truck was shaken, rattled, and shocked 😱… literally! We put our autonomous terminal tractors through rigorous testing to ensure they’re ready for real-world challenges. From vibration tests that simulate rough terrain to shock tests with loud, jarring impacts, every part of the truck is pushed to its limits, including the in-vehicle enclosure. This enclosure is the heart of our system: it houses all on-board compute hardware and manages electric power for our computers, sensors, radars, and LiDARs. Everything routes through this box to keep the truck’s brain and sensory systems up and running under even the most extreme conditions. 📍 What is in the video? The In-Cabin Enclosure houses critical systems that ensure the truck's reliable operation. It endured shock testing with forces of up to 10g (10 times the force of gravity!) across all six axes: forward/backward, side to side, up and down, in both positive and negative directions. A total of 600 shocks were applied continuously. The enclosure was also subjected to vibration testing in all three translational axes: forward/backward, side to side, and up and down. This process simulated continuous real-world operations and assessed the machine's lifecycle expectations. 📍 Why does this matter? 🛠️ Built for Reliability: Our ATTs can handle rough surfaces and heavy loads without interruptions. ⚙️ Proven Performance: The machinery stays fully functional under extreme conditions. 🔒 Safety Assured: Designed and tested to operate reliably in demanding environments. 🎥 Watch (and hear!) our testing in action.
