Is your company overwhelmed by data issues? Just increase production of human babies to have more data experts. Simple, right? Maybe not so much. During Data Dreamland 2024, Michael Olschimke highlighted the glaring discrepancy between the exponential growth of data and the much slower growth of data experts coming out of universities or specialized programs. From my experience, "producing" data experts (children) isn't exactly easy: 1️⃣ Puberty… It's slowly approaching, and I find it terrifying. 2️⃣ Free will. My kids want to be YouTubers, not data experts. Even my AI-generated stories about Princess Snowflake trapped in a non-scalable tower have had little effect. Conclusion: The existing pool of data experts must increase productivity. Through the right training and data automation tools: 1️⃣ Level 1 tools: Metadata-based tools like 2150 Datavault Builder AG, Coalesce.io, etc. 2️⃣ Level 2 tools: Advanced tools that analyze source data and propose metadata describing models (about 80%) for Level 1 tools. One of promising tools is Flow.BI GmbH. While it may need some time to mature, it could become indispensable in the future. What do you think?
