We are pleased to announce that Fresenius Kabi has entered into a licensing agreement with SamChunDang Pharm (SCD) of South Korea to commercialize a proposed aflibercept biosimilar in the US and several Latin American countries. As we reach the end of the year, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on what has been a truly remarkable year for Fresenius Kabi. It has been a year of growth, collaboration, and innovation – a testament to the incredible teams which drive our success every day – with significant impact on critically and chronically ill patients globally. As one team, we have consistently delivered on our commitments. The resilience and dedication of the Fresenius Kabi teams have made a decisive difference as we continued to progress along our #Vision2026 transformation. We are fully living our purpose of improving and saving human lives. We have taken major steps on that journey in line with #FutureFresenius: In 2024, we made significant progress in expanding our Biopharma business, delivering innovative therapies to support autoimmune and oncology patients worldwide. With multiple approvals from regulatory agencies and a growing pipeline of medicines under development, we are well-positioned to bring these critical treatments to market and improve access for patients globally. In MedTech, collaborations with leading companies in cell and gene therapy and our continued investment in cutting-edge manufacturing technologies have strengthened our ability to meet the needs of patients and health care providers worldwide. Fresenius Kabi also focuses on rolling out its Nutrition offering. We have seen various important launches in many markets throughout the year and we will continue to push this going forward. In Pharma, we have expanded our generics portfolio which ensures the supply of vital and affordable medicines to ever more people; and our IV Fluids are a true backbone of health care – clearly visible in our impressive efforts to assist in various shortage situations with our essential products. All of these milestones and achievements highlight one thing: as part of Fresenius, we are an essential provider of critical medicines and technologies. Our products are indispensable components of the global health care provision. And wherever we can, we will always assist in making care accessible to those in need. As we look to the coming year, our focus remains firmly on shaping future health care and improving patient outcomes. We will expand our leadership positions, strengthen our core competencies to better serve patients, and drive sustainability as well as innovation across all areas of our business. Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in our Mirandola plant in Italy? We sat down with Martino Balboni, our Technical Office Filter Manager, to dive into the exciting world of innovation, efficiency, and teamwork – all over his favorite Italian cappuccino, of course! ☕ Martino has been with Fresenius Kabi for eight years, and his journey is as impressive as it is inspiring. Starting as a process engineer and project manager, Martino helped launch the automation lines that now drive efficiency in our production. “When I first started, I spent months in the clean room, ensuring every detail of the automation was just right,” he shares. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for his expertise, allowing him to understand and optimize our processes at every level. Today, Martino manages a talented team dedicated to improving our production lines. “The thing I love most about my job is the variety,” he explains. "From Industry 4.0 advancements to safety improvements, every project challenges us to think differently. We’re not just maintaining our systems; we’re continuously enhancing them to increase efficiency and meet the highest standards of quality and safety.” 🤝 When asked what makes working at Fresenius Kabi special, Martino doesn’t hesitate. “I’m proud to be part of a company where our work has a real impact. Some of my friends and even my brother work in hospitals, and they tell me how often they see our products there. It’s a reminder of our commitment to life – and to the people who rely on us every day.” Beyond the technical expertise, Martino values the trust and reliability that define his team’s approach. “For me, our commitment to life isn’t just about our products; it’s about keeping our promises, both to our clients and to each other,” he says. This philosophy drives his team, especially in moments where challenging projects and tight deadlines require everyone to work together seamlessly. And what does Martino do when he’s not in the clean room or office? “I’m a basketball fan and still play in a local league here in Mirandola,” he shares with a laugh. “It’s a great way to clear my head and stay active.” #TeamFresenius #CommittedToLife
