🎉 As 2024 draws to a close, we at FVV take this opportunity to reflect on a year marked by #progress, #collaboration, and shared #achievements. This year, we have worked together to advance innovation, sustainability, and excellence in our field. From our FVV Transfer + Networking Events, our new Science Story series "Shapers of the Future", our co-operation with AICE to fostering a deeper exchange of knowledge, these accomplishments were made possible thanks to the dedication and support of our members, RTD performers, partners, and colleagues. As we look ahead to 2025, we remain committed to building on this strong foundation, embracing new challenges, and striving for even greater impact in shaping a #sustainable future. On behalf of the entire FVV team, we wish you a successful transition into the new year. May 2025 bring health, happiness, and continued success to you and your loved ones. Thank you for being a part of our journey. Here’s to a promising year ahead! Info
Euro in 1.200 Forschungsprojekten investiert. 🤝 We are very proud and happy that people are meeting in the open + friendly environment of our network and jointly developing new ideas for the future of all of us. Good luck and every success nihito.io 🤝
🌟 How it all Started For nihito, the beginning wasn’t an idea but a connection—and it was Mohammad Moradi, Dr.-Ing. who brought us all together. Here’s our story: 📚 → During his PhD at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Mohammad was trying to combine his passion for AI with his research on internal combustion engines (ICEs). 🤝 → In 2020, during an FVV meeting, Mohammad started discussing research ideas with Dominik Rether, leading to a collaborative project with WinGD Ltd., where Markus Wenig and Martin Brutsche were leading the project from the industry side. 🧑🔬 → A parallel research project brought Mohammad into contact with ETH Zürich, where he later joined as a PostDoc in Prof. Christopher Onder’s research group in early 2023 and met Fabio Widmer. 💡 → After getting to know each other, Mohammad, Markus, Fabio, and Martin found common ground in a shared enthusiasm for building something new and impactful. From countless brainstorming sessions, the idea of nihito was born. While Markus, Mohammad, and Fabio have fully committed to bringing nihito to life, Martin remains the genius in the background, contributing his 15+ years of engineering and software expertise as one of our key advisors. Last but not least, we’re also proud to have Prof. Chris Onder as an advisor, bringing his extensive academic expertise to our team as we grow. Together, their guidance is helping us shape nihito into something impactful.

🤝 10 YEARS OF JAPANESE-GERMAN CO-OPERATION IN POWERTRAIN RESEARCH 🤝 The Research Association of Automotive Internal Combustion Engines (AICE) celebrated its 10th #anniversary. It was founded in Tokyo in 2014, based on the FVV model, and is now a central #technology platform for #cooperation between #industry, #academia and #government in Japan. The two sister organisations FVV and AICE have been working hand in hand on common #research issues since the beginning. This close co-operation in basic and applied research facilitates the international #transfer of knowledge and brings research on modern #EnergyConversionSystems and their components to a #global level. Learn more in our Science Story: ›Together for a climate-neutral future‹ https://lnkd.in/ezBt3TqX We like to thank Dr Motoichi Murakami, Manabu Hasegawa and Dr Takaaki Kitamura from AICE, Jin Kusaka from Waseda University and Kazuo Takeuchi from FVV Japan for participating in our last FVV Transfer + Networking Event | Autumn 2024. #cornet #netzero #powertrain #network #cleanmobility #decarbonisation #defossilisation #greenercars #wearetransfer
