It’s no secret that we like new toys at UCO and we’ve had a good week this week trialing the BUDDY ROV from FRAMEWORK ROBOTICS GmbH. Learning more about its capabilities and its 3D printed construction has been extremely interesting for the whole team and we’re looking forward to testing it further on site. Comparing it to other vehicles in our fleet has been particularly enlightening. In the words of Peter Drucker, “If you want something new, you have to stop doing something old"... Special thanks to The National Decommissioning Centre for last minute use of their test tank facilities, Robert Balduhn for all his help and assistance with the vehicle this week and Christopher S. Last week, we had the honor to present our #technology to minister-president of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Manuela Schwesig, Minister of the Interior, Building and Digitalisation Christian Pegel Minister and Vice-Minister of the Economy and Innovation of the Republic of Lithuania, Karolis Žemaitis. We discussed the need for #underwaterrobotics with regards to the changing #geopolitical situation and the resulting demand for an automized surveillance of #criticalinfrastructure.
