As a manufacturing company, we generate waste in our production processes. In accordance with the European waste hierarchy, our fundamental aim is to #reuse or #recycle such waste and to avoid disposal in landfills altogether. Knowing that much of the waste comprises potential raw materials for making different new products, we seek to actively promote such uses. Our top-level goal is therefore to keep our waste volume as low as possible. At the same time, we want to minimize the impact of our production waste. That is why we have set the following goal: We aim to #reduce the amount of industrial waste sent to landfill from our own production to 0% by 2028. At the same time, we intend to reduce the proportion of waste sent for incineration in order to prioritize material recycling. Wir wurden von der renommierten Zeitschrift Capital als einer der besten Ausbildungsbetriebe Deutschlands ausgezeichnet. Diese Ergebnisse unterstreichen, dass unsere Programme nicht nur den aktuellen Anforderungen des Arbeitsmarktes gerecht werden, sondern auch echte Mehrwerte für unsere Auszubildenden und Studierenden bieten. Derzeit bildet Gerresheimer an fünf deutschen Standorten 146 Auszubildende und duale Studierende aus. Sie werden in 11 Ausbildungsberufen und 8 dualen Studiengängen gezielt auf ihre Karriere bei Gerresheimer vorbereitet. More than meets the eye – our broad portfolio for Ophthalmics Ocular diseases can be various.
