We drive entrepreneurship.

Info

We are GoGroup. As the name already suggests we are not just one company, but a group of businesses. Our mission is simple: We create amazing companies with amazing people. As a group, we are building our own ventures from scratch. This provides exciting challenges to our people. Every individual is fully focused on one of the ventures of our group, going deep on one product, getting more and more responsibility and learning a lot about the technology behind that product. At the same time everyone benefits from the knowledge sharing across all our ventures. Everything we do at GoGroup starts with people. We focus on our team and help them to identify, plan and reach their goals. Whether their career goal is to be an Engineering Manager, a CTO or a Founder, we have the programs in place to help our people grow there over time within GoGroup.

Another throwback to our latest Venture Circle event hosted together with the great folks of REHAU New Ventures in the beautiful Botanical Gardens of Munich-Nymphenburg. The Venture Circle is our recurring get-together for decision-makers in European corporate venture building. The primary goal is an open, trusting exchange at C & VP level on specific venture building challenges, such as best practices in linking ventures to the respective corporate parent or dealing with the currently omnipresent budget cuts. If you are a decision-maker in corporate venture building and would like to be part of the next Venture Circle, please contact us. We would like to thank REHAU New Ventures (Matthias Hille) for the successful event in Munich and look forward to continuing our collaboration. Also, many thanks to all participants - see you at the next edition after the summer!

📅 Event Recap! 📅 It's already over a month ago since GoGroup. and REHAU New Ventures held an incredible and intensive event with experts from corporate venture building from all over Europe. The #VentureCircle! We are still have follow-up discussions with other participants, internally and learning and adapting strategic topics. During the event we discussed the challenges and especially the opportunities with corporate venture building. Here are some of our key takeaways: 👉 Corporate Venture Building is well established as the most entreprenuerial innovation vehicle for business building and can be independent but also a good addition towards CVC and Venture Clienting. CVB can be harder but has also much higher strategic potential and benefits. 👉 Corporates have plenty of assets to bring into ventures and thus create unfair advantages. These assets have strings attached and have to be used wisely to get the full power. Most assets have a clear timeline when they provide the biggest advantage and shouldn't be used too early or too late 👉 Focus and flexibility is key. Corporate rules, processes but also trying to do too much at the same time is often a big challenge. Focus on the really relevant things to proof Product-Market-Fit within the venture and create as much flexibility outside of corporate processes as the venture building unit. Our most important discussion point: 🚀 Only when you bring together experienced experts with extremly motivated entrepreneurs on a personal level you find the unfair advantage for your ventures from corporate assets. Thanks to @GoGroup and especially Dr. Felix Lau for the initiative and we are already looking forward to the next #Venture Circle. If you are interested in the format feel free to contact Matthias Hille or Dr. Felix Lau #Innovation, #CorporateVentures, #Entrepreneurship, #ScaleUp, #VentureBuilding, #StartupEcosystem Dr. Felix Lau, Nico Weiler, Sascha Weiler, Olivia Jaron, Gleb Tritus, Tom Schneider, Sven Siering, Christopher McLachlan, Nils Blume, Dr. Kerim Galal, Dirk Schlesinger, Amanda Mai Khuong-Duc, Frank Merwerth, Daniel Hofmann, Florian Meßner-Schmitt, Andras Fischer, Dávid Széles, Timo Raulf, Matthias Hille,

GoGroup Partner Sascha Weiler had the opportunity to join an expert panel on "AI in Corporate Venture Building" at the Lufthansa Innovation Hub – still one of the leading European corporate venturing units after 10 years.   🚀 Some of our takes in a nutshell...   1. It's not about finding more ideas While the easiest use cases are in venture ideation & evaluation, this is not where the main value lies - generating ideas was never the bottleneck and most venture units already have plenty. The real magic comes from accelerating the time-to-revenue by leveraging AI.   2. Leverage existing data The most valuable use cases come from working in depth with already existing data in the companies. Project-based work can only go so far and is often limited to scratching the surface. This is why we so strongly believe in building long-term-oriented, dedicated AI teams with our partners as contrast to the usual agency model.     3. It's still day one Current AI applications are still basic and focused on the first layer of prompt engineering. This is comparable with 2007 when the first iPhone was introduced.   Upcoming growth potential lies in: - Agentic use cases - first guided and later autonomous (e.g.generation of relevant sales leads) - Timeseries use cases (e.g. trends, investing, seasonal data)   4. Tech environment adaptability is key It is crucial to stay flexible on the tech side in corporate venture building, since the AI environment is still developing, with lots of shifts expected in the next 24 months.   5. Era of creative generalists While there seems to be genuine fear around AI taking jobs, our view is that individuals should embrace the new tools at their disposal. It's a level playing field and we are in the very early innings.   By getting ahead of the curve, you will not just be a much better venture builder, but as a "creative generalist" who can leverage AI well, the world will be your oyster.   Many thanks for this great event Jana Maria Jacobs, Xavier Lagardere (image credits), Stefan Nothelfer, Kristian Siebenrock, Kristina Becker & team.

Was heißt das?

🚀 Exciting Times at GoGroup! 🚀 We recently held another incredible #VentureCircle event. Co-hosted by REHAU New Ventures, we brought together some of the brightest minds in corporate venture building to discuss how established companies can build and scale successful corporate startups. The event was filled with inspiring insights and innovative ideas. Here are some key takeaways: 👉 Corporate Venture Building is well established as the most entreprenuerial innovation vehicle for business building  👉 Corporates have plenty of assets to bring into ventures and thus create unfair advantages 👉 Most of these assets also come with strings attached, so corporates should use their powers wisely. The good news: we now know much better which assets to use how and when Our most important learning: 🚀 When you bring together highly experienced experts, the quality and depth of the insights and strategies they share are unparalleled, leading to exceptional content and actionable results. A huge thank you to all the participants for your valuable contributions. Your expertise and enthusiasm are what make the Venture Circle such a success. We look forward to continuing this journey together and seeing the impact of these discussions unfold in the corporate world. #GoGroup #Innovation #CorporateVentures #Entrepreneurship #ScaleUp #StartupEcosystem Matthias Hille, Dr. Felix Lau, Nico Weiler, Olivia Jaron, Gleb Tritus, Tom Schneider, Sven Siering, Christopher McLachlan, Nils Blume, Dr. Kerim Galal, Dirk Schlesinger, Amanda Mai Khuong-Duc, Frank Merwerth, Daniel Hofmann, Florian Meßner-Schmitt, Andras Fischer, Dávid Széles, Timo Raulf

The wait is finally over: Showtime 🤩 Close to the office of Porsche's venture building unit Forward31, we opened the long-awaited Venture Circle ⭕ last week. This invite-only event brings together leading corporate venture builders for deep, content-rich discussions. There are no speeches as in typical events, but various discussion formats to get to know each other and go deep. The focus is on practical how-to's and real implementation, illustrated with lots of examples. PR phrases and platitudes are left at the door, along with all cell phones 🤯. The result, already at the kickoff event, was fantastic conversations and 100% focus on fostering exchange. And WOW... what an incredible location we had for our kickoff. Special thanks to Saskia and the entire Forward31 team for hosting the Venture Circle ⭕ in this unique location. And of course, a big thank you to everyone who made the kickoff such a success. We are very happily accommodating the feedback to hold these events more frequently and make them last longer 🚀 Welcome to the Venture Circle ⭕ Gleb Tritus, Tom Schneider, Tobias Ledermann, Sven Siering, Simone Lode, Saskia Roelofs, Dr. Christian Knörle, Robert Bach, Nils Blume, Lukas Mayrl, Kristina Becker, Dr. Salima Douven, Matthias Hille, Dr. Matthias Brendel, Dr. Jens Pippig, Christopher McLachlan, Dennis Hornung, Adrian Graf...and many more! #venturebuilding #companybuilding #corporateventuring
