Côte d'Ivoire’s Dual Transformation: Renewable Energy and Agricultural Value Here’s a quick recap of my recent trip to #IvoryCoast: I had the pleasure of connecting with new contacts, and catching up with old friends. The feedback I received was clear: Ivory Coast is at a pivotal stage of #growth and #transformation. Known globally as the world’s top #cocoa producer, Côte d'Ivoire is also one of the largest exporters of raw #cashew nuts. However, much of this wealth is exported unprocessed, leaving significant untapped opportunities for local industries to add value and create jobs. With a growing focus on processing agricultural products locally, Côte d'Ivoire is poised to drive economic growth and empower communities. On another front, the country is leading West Africa’s renewable energy transition. With a bold target of generating 42% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030, it is heavily investing in solar, hydropower, and biomass. These advancements could position Côte d'Ivoire as a regional energy powerhouse. This unique blend of sustainable energy and agricultural innovation makes Côte d'Ivoire a country to watch in West Africa’s growth story.
