    The Douglas Group has made a very promising start into the most important time of the year. Beginning with Singles' Day in the first half of November, continuing through the Black Week including our amazing “Beauty Friday” – as we call the “Black Friday” – and finally Cyber Monday this week, we are now entering the final sprint towards Christmas.   Let’s take a moment for a quick review: So far, we are very happy with the development. Our Beauty Friday highlights in the chart speak for themselves, once again underscoring the success of our strong omnichannel business model and the seamless integration of our online and offline channels. Recurring mint-colored gifts give the campaign a highly recognizable visual identity, embodying the refreshing and premium associations of our brand. 📷 Our Global Marketing team takes you behind the scenes of the magical campaign production in Berlin: Our creative journey began in a historic villa at the beautiful Wannsee. Photographer Esther Haase brought the campaign to life with stunning photos that celebrate the joy of gifting. Developed in collaboration with creative agency Jung von Matt and directed by Giada Bossi, the TV commercial features heartwarming scenes of giving and receiving thoughtful beauty gifts, illustrating the intimate moments that make Christmas truly special. Among the nominees on the shortlist: our Group Treasury Team, led by Thomas A. Woelk. The placement on the shortlist recognizes the strategic expertise of our team, which successfully mastered the complex financial challenge of covering the Covid pandemic financing and our IPO in March at the same time. Here are a few facts about the complex treasury transaction that the team implemented:  ✅ The loan taken out amounts to 1.6 billion euros.  ✅ The team developed an innovative financing solution by combining three different types of loans.  ✅To successfully complete the process, the team collaborated with 15 banks at the same time.  ✅ As a result of the refinancing and IPO, the DOUGLAS Group leverage ratio went down from 4.0x per 31.12.2023 to approx. 2.7x. This exceptional team performance, commitment and foresight have strengthened the DOUGLAS Group financially and positioned it for a stable future.     The Night of the Stars: DOUGLAS celebrates the DUFTSTARS of 2024! ✨ It was the night of nights for the German fragrance industry: the DUFTSTARS of 2024 were awarded in Düsseldorf, celebrating the art of perfumery. At Douglas, we joined in on this special occasion with an exclusive "Night of the Stars" event at our "Gen Z" store in Düsseldorf. 150 Beauty Card customers enjoyed a unique late night shopping experience, accompanied by attractive promotions from our top beauty brands. 🛍 German influencer 'Mrs Bella' announced the winners of the categories 'Best Campaign' (Jean Paul GAULTIER) and 'Men's Audience Award' (HUGO BOSS) via a live broadcast from our store to the main event location, the Rheinterrassen. We were already one of the lucky winners at the Austrian DUFTSTARS awards this summer. Our House of Beauty store on Vienna's Kärntner Straße was voted the public's favorite perfumery store. This flagship store spans 795 square metres over two luxurious floors and offers a wide selection of premium brands as well as exclusive beauty services that pamper our customers with a carefully curated shopping experience. We are proud to be part of this important event and thank all our customers and partners for their support and of course our #TeamDOUGLAS for their amazing work.

Between September and November, hundreds of colleagues from, among others, the DACH region, Poland, Italy, Croatia and Slovenia came together at their regional conventions to look back on the closed financial year and to embrace the upcoming peak season – the final Sales Convention was hosted by our friends of NOCIBE in France with a beautiful Christmas-themed stage. With plenty of #ThePeopleBehindBeauty on site – including Store Managers, Area Managers, Beauty Experts and colleagues from the HQ –, the events were all about the joint successes of 2024, updates on our growth strategy “Let it Bloom – DOUGLAS 2026”, sharing best practices and celebrating the teams and beauty brands.
