This impressive multi-core system, capable of producing up to 50 kg of hydrogen in 24 hours, paves the way for versatile green hydrogen projects – from industrial process heat to hydrogen refueling. 🌍 World Climate Day 2024 – Our Contribution to a Greener Future 🌍 On December 8th, we celebrate World Climate Day, a key moment to recognize the challenges of climate change and take active steps to combat it. For H2 Core Systems GmbH, a company developing hydrogen solutions, this day holds special significance. And today is also Nikolaus – a perfect occasion to think about sustainable and meaningful gifts! 🎅 Why World Climate Day is Important to Us? Climate change is the greatest challenge of our time. Green hydrogen, especially when produced from renewable sources, is a key to decarbonizing many industries and reducing global CO₂ emissions. Our systems enable the replacement of fossil fuels and accelerate the transition to a sustainable, emissions-free energy future. Through our work, we contribute to limiting global temperature rise to below 1.5°C – a goal that cannot be achieved without a radical transformation of the energy sector. Our Actions: 👉 Planting Trees with Ecosia Trees are one of the most effective measures in the fight against climate change, absorbing CO₂ and helping to mitigate the impacts of global warming. We have planted 2,085 trees through Ecosia campaigns and invest 0.25% of our revenue in tree planting initiatives. Customers can actively support this effort and receive certificates for the trees planted. 👉 Sustainable Appreciation with Unverschwendet Our Nikolaus gift for employees comes from UNVERSCHWENDET – an initiative that saves food surpluses and turns them into long-lasting treats. 👉 Weekly Organic Boxes from the Region We focus on regionality and source fresh food locally to minimize transportation and emissions. These organic boxes support local farmers and promote sustainable agriculture. What Our Products Do for Climate Protection: Our modular hydrogen systems enable flexible and sustainable energy production – from industry to mobility. Green hydrogen significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, as it is generated from renewable sources such as solar or wind power. At HTL Dornbirn, a training and demonstration facility has been opened, offering students both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience. In collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce Vorarlberg, industry, and the state of Vorarlberg, a platform has been created to prepare students for the energy transition. HTL Dornbirn is the first school in Austria to offer students the opportunity to work with a real hydrogen plant. Research focuses on the use of hydrogen in industrial processes, mobility, and autonomous energy systems. A key area of research is hydrogen storage, which is crucial for practical use in both industry and everyday life. Why is this important for Land Vorarlberg? This project highlights the region’s leadership in innovation. Through close collaboration between business, science, and education, research is made tangible and applied. Young people are introduced to sustainable technologies to help develop solutions for future challenges. On July 1, 2024, we were in Uedem to celebrate the grand opening of the new Omexom Institute location with its integrated energyLab! 📍 Location: Omexom, Uedem 🔧 Installed Components: Indoor HydroCabs® & Hydrogen Storage in Cylinder Bundles Our dedicated service team has successfully installed and commissioned the indoor HydroCabs® and storage solutions over the past few weeks, contributing to the innovative environment of the energyLab. 🔍 Who is Omexom Deutschland? Omexom develops and implements energy infrastructure systems, from local e-charging stations to smart city solutions. They handle planning, construction, maintenance, and servicing, tailored to customer needs. The Omexom Institute in Uedem serves as a hub for innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration, preparing the site and region for the energy transition. 🤝 Cooperation with Rhine-Waal University In collaboration with Rhine-Waal University, Omexom developed a hydrogen-based backup power generator as a sustainable alternative to diesel and petrol generators. This project earned Omexom the University Prize from Wirtschaftsförderung Kreis Kleve GmbH, awarded on May 22, 2024, at the Forum Kreis Kleve. The innovation will now be part of the new energyLab. 🔋 The energyLab The energyLab highlights Omexom's expertise in renewable energy, grid connectivity, and decarbonization solutions with batteries and green hydrogen. It serves as a hub for innovation and training in the energy transition. On-Site Visit – German-Chilean Innovation in Action! We were excited to host Jaime Riveros Palmiño, the CEO of H Ingeniería from Chile, to our facilities in Heide! 🌍 Jaime is part of a special program designed to promote exchanges between Chilean professionals and German companies, fostering sustainable collaborations and advancing the use of innovative technologies. After virtual meetings and attending the Hydrogen Technology Expo in Hamburg with Ulf Behrens, we took the next step on November 5th: a personal factory tour at H2 Core Systems. Alexander B., the Head of Production, gave us fascinating insights into our production site and demonstrated how our modular electrolyzer systems make green hydrogen available everywhere, for everyone. Jaime Riveros Palmiño is working with a leading bus company in Santiago with already 800 electric buses – to introduce their first hydrogen bus, driving the shift towards H2-powered buses. It’s an impressive project that we’re eager to support with our expertise and technologies.
