During his visit to UBH MECHANICAL ENGINEERING GmbH in Ebermannsdorf, Bavarian State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt witnessed cutting-edge AI solutions in action. Yesterday, the "HIP & Glühwein" event took place for the fifth time, this time in the new club by GoodSpaces at the Heidelberg Innovation Park and outside. The guests took the opportunity to chat with each other and enjoy the festive atmosphere.   Anna Romey, Andreas Gißler, and Birk Frederik Bauer welcomed warmly all guests. 🚀 The SenSim4KI #project develops innovative virtual test environments that simulate real scenarios for sensor data and #AI models. But what does that look like in practice? 🔎 We are currently preparing a #test to investigate how well neural networks can be trained on different types of data. We have three databases at our disposal for this: 1️⃣ Real data that comes directly from real production. 2️⃣ Fully simulated data generated using virtual models. 3️⃣ Mixed data that represents a combination of real and simulated information. 📷 LumiScanX and LumiScan VGR play a central role in these tests. Our #camerasystems and the #software work in conjunction with a robot that checks the neural networks based on various criteria. ❓ How many test pieces can the robot capture at the same time? ❓ How good is the image quality under different conditions? ❓ What distance between the camera and the object produces the best results? 🎯 The test results are vital for future business success. 👍 Today, we held an individual workshop on our #ctrlX apps for Alexander Kotnik from Bosch Rexroth. 💁 The workshop presented the functions of the #apps: #LumiScan Cam Driver, LumiScan AI Object Matching, and LumiScan Calibration, as well as LumiScan Annotation Framework and LumiScan Training Framework. 🚀 SenSim4KI: Future through AI, simulation, and sensor technology How can we use AI and simulation to make industry more efficient, safer, and more sustainable? This is exactly what #SenSim4KI is researching. 🎯 The goal: SenSim4KI develops virtual test environments that simulate real scenarios for sensor data and #AI models. Our solution also helped reduce the physical strain and health risks faced by AZO’s employees.
