Just returned from an incredible time at #AWS #reInvent in Las Vegas, and I’m excited to share some highlights and reflections from this amazing experience.
I had the privilege of attending this incredible event alongside some of my colleagues from Hectronic GmbH and it is obvoius that this event is more than just a tech conference—it’s a hub of networking, collaboration, and hands-on learning, all wrapped up in fun.
🌏 A Special Start
Before the event officially began, we explored one of our parking vending machines in Las Vegas, connected to our CityLine cloud solution. It set the perfect tone for our journey, showcasing our global growth and commitment to innovation in these segments.
📝 Learning New Things, Hands-On
One of the best parts of re:Invent is diving into hands-on experiences and learning directly from experts. I attended some outstanding sessions, my highlights:
TNC-203: Establishing Q-Business as an AI-powered chatbot using a Knowledge Base to enhance business capabilities.
MAM-324: Event-Storming with Domain-Driven Design and Event-Driven Architecture to better model cloud-native systems.
DOP-304: Transitioning to CDK from descriptive tools like Terraform for modern development workflows.
FSI-328 & CDN-301: Leveraging AWS Fault Injection Service for resilience and fault tolerance in architectures and strengthening cloud-native security with through WAF.
🤝 Networking Opportunities
Beyond the sessions, re:Invent offered unparalleled networking opportunities. Engaging Peer-Talks and meaningful discussions with experts provided valuable insights into transformation, organizational change, and AWS's collaborative role in our cloud journey.
It was inspiring to see AWS’s vision for e-Mobility solutions at their Expo booth, and I look forward to deepening our collaboration on #GreenTech initiatives.
🔅 Getting Inspired by Keynotes
The keynote speeches were truly inspiring with Werner’s discussion on "Simplexity" offering fresh perspectives on the intricacies of software architectures. Curious about AWS’s "Two-Pizza Team" approach? Check out the keynote online - it's fun.
Swami's keynote on making AI accessible to every company was equally inspiring. AWS’s introduction of Nova and Bedrock improvements shows their commitment to leading the AI race. Exploring Q Developer capabilities was a personal highlight, showcasing how it can revolutionize cloud-native application development.
🎯 Final Thoughts
AWS re:Invent wasn’t just an event; it was a journey of collaboration, innovation, and inspiration. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow with this incredible community, and I look forward to applying these insights to drive innovation in our cloud solutions.
