✨ 2024 signals Recap  The final days of the year are approaching and we are excited to look back at 2024 and celebrate our achievements as a team. This year has been full of milestones and collaborative efforts that have propelled us forward. Four achievements we would like to highlight: 🚀 GenAI Advancements Since its launch in April, we supported the rollout of our internal chatbot Co SI through a variety of formats that have reached more than 2000 people across SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe. Also, we catalysed the development of our KV Agent, which helps health insurance service agents respond more quickly to customer queries. Proud to work side by side with amazing Michelle Mäding, Jan Paul Assendorp, Christopher Masch, Sebastian Borowiak, Lisa Rehorst, Katharina Götte, Kornelia Anna Schaffranka and Knut Zengerling of Google, our trusted partner. 💡 Momentum 2030 – Corporate Strategy This year SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe has rolled out its new corporate strategy with topics such as service excellence and AI (and ultimately the customer) at its heart. We supported the Momentum2030 with our future lens. Thanks to Malte Broks and team Sophie Dorenz, Miriam Etter, Robert Meyer, Sarah Paessens, Tobias Schmarbeck and Henning Lenz who have put in all that work to guide SIGNAL IDUNA to future successes. 💰 TechRente Launch In September, we successfully launched TechRente, a pension product catered to a young, digitally savvy audience through our partnership with BIT Capital. Early sales figures are promising, thanks to the efforts of Susanne Scarpinati, Hannes K. Bruch, MBA, Hendrik Krawinkel, Jan Beckers, Tim Sommer, Beatrice Schroeder and Daniel Windt. 💪 Partnership with Angel Invest With a substantial investment from SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe in the Fund III of early-stage investor Angel Invest, we are paving the way for a strong partnership between signals and Angel Invest. Remo Mahler, Jens Lapinski, Patrick O. Darby and Marco Yanar - We are excited for what is to come in 2025.  💛 While we were at it, we also refreshed our brand, revamped our website and gave our office a new look. We expanded our community of like-minded people with events like the Tech Sundowner and the AI Roundtable. We also welcomed some fantastic new team members (Meera Koch, Christina Schlüter, Leon Eilers, Lena Maria Milz). All in all, a good year to look back on with a warm cup of cocoa in hand. All that's left for us to do is wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎄✨

🚀 Thank you for joining us at our AI Roundtable! We absolutely loved the vivid discussions and positive spirit! ❤️ For those who couldn't make it this time (little hint: yes, there will be a next time ;)) here are some of our key takeaways from last night!   👉 Thomas Andrae Current AI operations, like ChatGPT, are expensive and energy-intensive, highlighting the need for advancements in computing technology. In Thomas's view, the future lies in photonic computing, which operates at extremely low temperatures and promises a significant paradigm shift.   👉 Matthaus Krzykowski The European AI movement is gaining momentum and strongly focuses on collaboration and open-source initiatives. The future of AI lies in developing interconnected systems, with Europe playing a crucial role through platforms.   👉 Johannes Otterbach x Lisa Knab In the US, failure is often seen as a step towards success, and the good news is that this mindset is starting to spread to Germany. Embracing failure can lead to innovation and improvement. Johannes advises companies using GenAI to adopt the mantra "Perfect is the Enemy of Good." Back on the road with Gen AI 🚆 Our AI experts Lisa Knab and Marius Bloch slipped back into the trainer role for yesterday’s upskilling session at SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe in Dortmund. The workshop consisted of several micro sessions and reached more than 100 colleagues, helping them to polish their AI skills and to better understand how and when to implement it at work. This was yet another great moment of collaboration not only with our colleagues at SIGNAL IDUNA we have teamed up with (shout out to Sebastian Borowiak, Lea Berg, Christoph Grimm and Sandra Lepich) but also with our technology partner Google and trusted expert Knut Zengerling.
