🔍 Exploring AI Innovations with Tiger Cow Studios At signals, we aim to create an open ecosystem that connects start-ups, new technologies and companies of all sizes, including SMEs. Supporting small and medium-sized enterprises is practically in our blood, because SIGNAL IDUNA was founded by craftsmen over 100 years ago and has been a strong partner for SMEs ever since. That is why we were more than happy to lend our Open Studios to Matthias Fuchs and Henrik Dittmar, founders of Tiger Cow Studios, to host an event on GenAI in SMEs. The event featured insightful discussions on: 👉 Optimizing product data and customer journeys with Henrik Dittmar and Matthias Fuchs 👉 Enhancing visibility for small companies with Joshua S., CEO of Glorya GmbH 👉 Using AI in customer service with Nicolas Pörschke, CEO of enmit GmbH 👉 Fallacies and meaningful use cases for AI and data with Milad P., CEO of Visuo Technologies GmbH A big thank you to Matthias Fuchs and Henrik Dittmar for an inspiring event and for letting us be a part of it. We are excited to see where GenAI will take SMEs! #GenAI #Startups #Innovation #AI #Networking #Mittelstand #SMEs

🚀 Thank you for joining us at our AI Roundtable! We absolutely loved the vivid discussions and positive spirit! ❤️ For those who couldn't make it this time (little hint: yes, there will be a next time ;)) here are some of our key takeaways from last night! 👉 Thomas Andrae Current AI operations, like ChatGPT, are expensive and energy-intensive, highlighting the need for advancements in computing technology. In Thomas's view, the future lies in photonic computing, which operates at extremely low temperatures and promises a significant paradigm shift. 👉 Matthaus Krzykowski The European AI movement is gaining momentum and strongly focuses on collaboration and open-source initiatives. The future of AI lies in developing interconnected systems, with Europe playing a crucial role through platforms. 👉 Johannes Otterbach x Lisa Knab In the US, failure is often seen as a step towards success, and the good news is that this mindset is starting to spread to Germany. Embracing failure can lead to innovation and improvement. Johannes advises companies using GenAI to adopt the mantra "Perfect is the Enemy of Good." Start with small implementations, gather market feedback, and iterate quickly to allow for rapid learning and adaptation. We hope you are as excited as we are about the future and the possibilities of AI. Thank you to everyone who took part in the event. We're already looking forward to the next AI roundtable! PS: Stay tuned, we have a little after-movie waiting for you next week :) 📸 Dominik Tryba #GenAI #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #LLMs

Back on the road with Gen AI 🚆 Our AI experts Lisa Knab and Marius Bloch slipped back into the trainer role for yesterday’s upskilling session at SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe in Dortmund. The workshop consisted of several micro sessions and reached more than 100 colleagues, helping them to polish their AI skills and to better understand how and when to implement it at work. This was yet another great moment of collaboration not only with our colleagues at SIGNAL IDUNA we have teamed up with (shout out to Sebastian Borowiak, Lea Berg, Christoph Grimm and Sandra Lepich) but also with our technology partner Google and trusted expert Knut Zengerling. Let’s keep learning! When not on the stage, Lisa and Marius recorded a few scenes - so here's what it looked like. 👇 #GenerativAI #AiinINsurance #insurtech #EmployeeExperience #GrowthMindset

✨Thanks for having us ✨ One of our GenAI experts Lisa had the chance to speak at AI Week Mainfranken and share our experiences working with GenAI SIGNAL IDUNA Gruppe. The event program included more than 30 online and offline events covering the whole spectrum: From AI use cases in retail or legal, startup pitches by local entrepreneurs up to discussions on how to use AI responsibly. Shout out to the organizers Wuerzburg Web Week and Ute Muendlein for putting together an insightful 5-day program, the first of its kind in Bavaria. For those of you who couldn’t attend, here’s a quick wrap up of what Lisa (who in fact has roots in the region) shared with the audience. 👉 The potential of GenAI in insurance is huge. According to Accenture 62% of all tasks at an insurance company could be automated (by GenAI), BCG forecasts a 20-30% reduction in loss-adjustment expenses. But we’re past the peak of inflated expectations, to use Gartner’s words, and we are excited to see what innovations will hit the plateau. 👉 GenAI is powerful, but don’t start with a one-fits-all. At SIGNAL IDUNA we’ve been focusing on various specific use cases together with our partner Google. Partly highly specialized and usually piloted and tested with a small internal user base. We believe this is the right way, as it allows us to learn and adjust according to real needs. 👉 In AI, there’s a 10-20-70 rule which says it’s not all about the technology. Despite all technological breakthrough, only 10% of time is dedicated to new algorithms and the science behind it, another 20% is about implementing the technology in systems and integrating the right data. 70%, the biggest chunk, goes to enablement. This is why we are happy to work with and for SIGNAL IDUNA colleagues in a variety of workshops. Thanks to everyone who participated and for the incredibly insightful Q&A afterwards. #GenAI #ArtificialIntelligence #Innovation #Insurtech
