It is impressive to see the fast development of autonomous driving solutions in the transportation and logistics industry! Congratulations to Daimler Truck AG and Torc Robotics for this milestone!
Can you imagine a truck driving, without anyone on board? 🚛🤖 So far, Daimler Truck AG & Torc Robotics have tested and developed #AutonomousDriving with a safety driver and an operator on board. Until now: Torc’s autonomous trucks just passed a driverless validation test without anyone in the cabin in a multi-lane closed course environment in Texas, USA. Conducted at full operating speed of up to 65 mph (approx. 105 km/h), the product acceptance test underscores Torc's progress in autonomous driving capabilities and prepares the company to be able to scale and commercialize safe, robust autonomous trucking solutions by 2027. Press release: https://dth.ag/DOV ℹ️ Torc Robotics, headquartered in Blacksburg, Virginia, is an independent subsidiary of Daimler Truck AG. #DaimlerTruck #TorcRobotics #AutonomousTrucking
