What a productive and inspiring week it has been at the IAESTE 78th Annual Conference! Although the conference was held fully virtually, we had a great turnout with Members from almost all over the world joining us online, while some dedicated Members even volunteered to attend in person! From insightful discussions to collaborative workshops, we’ve strengthened bonds, shared valuable ideas for the future of IAESTE, and reinforced the spirit of international exchange and cooperation. 🤝 We also elected our Board Members, who will lead IAESTE into the next chapter. And, exciting news — we’ve selected the venue for the 79th Annual Conference! More details to follow, as we prepare for another IAESTE year ahead. We’re leaving this conference with renewed motivation, ready to continue our mission of providing students with valuable professional experiences worldwide. A happy belated IAESTE-Day to everyone! 🎂 IAESTE was founded on the 20th October 1948 and each year we celebrate the continuing work for international understanding and technical experiece! 🌍🌎🌏⚙🧪🔬💻 This year we want to shed a light on all the volunteers who do amazing work and shape IAESTE into the wonderful, inspiring and spirited association that it is! In Germany we work in a closely knitted network of local committees that are mostly student-run! 👨🏼🎓🏆 Last weekend we got together in Heidelberg with many of our volunteers for our annual national conference - to round up the last exchange year and start the new one, to see and talk to each other face to face and most importantly: to say THANK YOU! 💙 #IAESTEFamily #work #experience #discover

Wie ist IAESTE in Deutschland strukturiert? Diese Frage erhalten wir häufig, da es auf den ersten Blick nicht eindeutig sein mag und die Organisation in anderen Ländern durchaus auch anders ist. Die IAESTE ist ein internationaler Verein, in dem die Bundesrepublik Deutschland durch das Nationalkomitee vertreten wird. Das Nationalkomitee ist im DAAD Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst angesiedelt und kümmert sich um den reibungslosen Ablauf des Programms. Dafür steht es in Kontakt mit den weiteren IAESTE-Mitgliedsstaaten, deutschen und internationalen Studierenden sowie den Arbeitgebern in Deutschland. Die örtliche Betreuung eingereister PraktikantInnen, Beratung interessierter Studierender und auch der entsprechenden Arbeitgeber wird von den lokalen Betreuungsstellen übernommen: studentisch geführte Lokalkomitees sowie International Offices der Hochschulen bilden ein starkes Netzwerk im gesamten Bundesgebiet.
