Whether from random failures or deliberate attacks, the ability of a city's transportation system to handle stress is crucial for preventing large-scale congestion. 🔍 This research explores the robustness of urban road networks using a cascading failure model. By analyzing traffic flow in a provincial city, I simulated both random and deliberate attacks on high-traffic road segments, uncovering that deliberate attacks have a much more significant impact on busy routes. 💡 The findings emphasize the need for strategic traffic management to protect high-traffic segments and ensure urban mobility doesn’t come to a halt during disruptions. This research explores how walkability and outdoor thermal comfort can transform neighborhoods into healthier, more active environments. 🔍 Focusing on three diverse neighborhoods in Buraydah City, Saudi Arabia, this study explores how neighborhood walkability, street connectivity, and thermal comfort influence walking behaviors. 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐩𝐮𝐭: By enhancing the BP surface with UV ozone treatment, the anode becomes hydrophilic, improving bacterial affinity and power generation. 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬: Treated BP achieved a record-breaking power density of 28.8 μW/cm², with stable output over 140 hours, all while preserving the integrity of the CNT structure.
