📣 As we welcome 2025, InPlanet is thrilled to announce that today we have made history - together with our partners, we are now the first climate tech company to deliver certified carbon removal credits using Enhanced Rock Weathering! 🔬 After a deeply rigourous process, the credits were verified by Isometric, delivered to Adyen, facilitated by ClimeFi. This marks a significant milestone for the industry as it opens up a pathway to new, high-quality, permanent carbon removal technologies. This is crucial for scaling CDR at present and in the near future. 🌎 These first ERW credits prove this carbon removal process can safely accelerate to a human-relevant time and scale. We couldn't be more excited to celebrate this moment with you as we begin 2025. 🚀 For the full release, visit: https://lnkd.in/eVNwvHrg

🍊 Together, we can cultivate healthier ecosystems for future generations! Happy Friday everyone 🎉 🚜 We are excited to collaborate with passionate farmers committed to regenerative farming practices, such as rock powder application for Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW), which also removes carbon from the atmosphere. 🌱 Here, our ERW Projects Manager, Dr. Marcelo Brossi Santoro and our MRV Researcher, Dr. Marcella Daubermann recently visited one of our citrus farmers during rock powder application. Here's to a better future for the planet with pioneering approaches to tropical agriculture!

🌎 Today we are thrilled to announce that InPlanet has been nominated for The Earthshot Prize! 🎉 After a whirlwind start to 2025 announcing that we are the first climate tech company to develop and deliver certified carbon credits in Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW), we couldn't be happier to share this news. 🚀 Inspired by President John F. Kennedy’s “Moonshot” challenge in 1962 to land a man on the moon within a decade, The Earthshot Prize was launched by Prince William in 2020 to search for and scale the most innovative solutions to the world’s greatest environmental challenges. 🌱 We see genuine pathways to an era of regeneration and abundance, and we look forward to getting there together with our community. 🌱 Soil is created in three phases, solid, liquid, and gas, and its formation factors are organisms, relief, climate, parent material (such as rocks) and time. 🔬 Our Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) Lead and Soil Scientist, Dr. Mariane Chiapini, PhD, shares more about these five formation factors needed throughout the phases in order for soil to exist. 🌎 Like the natural process of rock turning to soil, the application of rock powder removes carbon from the atmosphere while aiding the remineralization of tropical soils; these soils are typically void of much of their nutrients. 🌿 Through the measurable, scalable, and certified remineralization of soil, InPlanet is reversing the effects of climate change and restoring depleted agricultural land. 🇧🇷 Help Brazil drive global climate action through CDR representation at COP30 🌎 InPlanet is proud to align with Negative Emissions Platform (NEP) in advocating for greater political recognition of carbon removal technologies and solutions worldwide, collaborating towards this important goal. 🌿 As a CDR company embedded in Brazil, we are committed to helping the CDR industry grow locally and gain global recognition, especially at major events like COP30, which will be hosted for the first time in 2025 in Belém do Pará, a city in the Amazon region. ➡️ To support this vision, we are organizing a dedicated CDR pavilion at COP30 and invite others passionate about advancing the industry to check out this exciting opportunity in the caption below ⬇️
👏 Could this be the most exciting job opportunity in carbon dioxide removal? 👏 COP30 in Brazil will be huge and will set the stage for decades to come. Building on the great progress for carbon removals (CDR) at COP29, the CDR industry is now starting to mobilise to make COP30 📈 the breakout COP for CDR. 📈 🫵 And we need you. Specifically, we are looking for someone who will lead the industry’s efforts to prepare, set-up, and run the first ever CDR Pavilion at a COP. What you need to bring to the table: ♾️ You are based in, or regularly travel to, Brazil ♾️ You speak Portuguese ♾️ You are familiar with the CDR ecosystem You can spend a significant amount of time on this (minimum 2 days a week in H1; full-time in H2) for the next 12 months Sounds exciting? Look no further. Express you interest here: 🌐 https://lnkd.in/ehvUe-wi 🤝 Vamos nessa - não temos tempo a perder.
