Big News! 🚀 💡 We´re thrilled to announce that we have successfully commissioned the linear motor inside of our goTube research infrastructure together with engineers from Nevomo! The cabling and installations in the tube are now complete, allowing us to test operational procedures of CargoTube and conduct various experiments with the propulsion system in combination with vehicle dynamics. The first test runs with the linear motor are impressive! We have already achieved initial results that have exceeded our expectations. The integration and testing of the linear motor is an important step in developing CargoTube and hyperloop technology. We are excited to see what we will discover. 🔍 Additionally, we were delighted to have had Assistant Professor Marek Michalczuk at the University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer giving a guest lecture about “Linear Drive Technology for Maglev-Derived Systems”. 🚄 Ready to know more about magnetic levitation in hyperloop? 🚄 Join us for the upcoming Hyperloop Seminar session next 25th Monday, November from 18:00 to 19:00 CET, featuring the talk of an expert on levitation technologies for ultra-high speed vehicles. 🎙️ Speaker 1: Dr.-Ing. Florian Dignath, Senior System Engineer at thyssenkrupp Transrapid. Topic: "Mind the gap - Thoughts on controlling the magnetic levitation" The Transrapid was Germany’s pioneering maglev train, designed for ultra-high-speed travel up to 500 km/h, utilizing electromagnetic suspension for frictionless operation. Developed by ThyssenKrupp and Siemens, the system was a testament to cutting-edge engineering. Dr.-Ing. Florian Dignath played a pivotal role in developing the levitation system. Drawing from his extensive experience, he offers insights into the magnet control system, including the control tasks, design principles, and critical control scenarios essential for the system's operation. Despite decades of development and successful testing at the Emsland facility, plans for domestic routes like Hamburg–Berlin were scrapped due to high costs and limited public support. While the technology found success in Shanghai, the Transrapid remains a symbol of ambitious innovation halted by financial and practical challenges. 🗓️ Mark your calendar and join us for this insightful seminar next Monday 25th of November from 18:00h-19:00h CET. 🔗 Subscribe to our public calendar for all upcoming events: https://lnkd.in/ekcAUrah 🖥️ Here's the Zoom link for the session: https://lnkd.in/gmS7BNAJ Can't wait to see you there! 🚄🚀 EuroTube Swissloop TUM Hyperloop Institute of Hyperloop Technology University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg ETH Zürich Hardt Hyperloop

🚄 Ready to know more about the cooling and heat management of hyperloop vehicles and its technologies? 🚄 Join us for the upcoming Hyperloop Seminar session next 18th Monday, November from 18:00 to 19:00 CET, featuring the talk of two experts on hyperloop cooling systems for their respective team vehicles. 🎙️ Speaker 1: Manuel Kälin, Former Technical Team Member at the Swissloop team from ETH Zürich Topic: "Assessment of Heat Management Strategies for Hyperloop Pods" This presentation tackles the challenge of maintaining stable temperatures in a hyperloop pod, focusing on how heat is effectively dissipated to the surrounding tube and air. We'll explore if the heat transferred through radiation and convection is enough to keep the pod at a consistent temperature, even at high speeds. By examining the impact of various environmental and design factors, we dive into the science of thermal management to see what it takes to create a comfortable, efficient ride within the hyperloop. 🎙️ Speaker 2: Gert Spek, Lead Engineer Tractive at Hardt Hyperloop Topic: "Cooling system for a transportation vehicle arranged to be transported in a low-pressure environment" Thermal management for hyperloop transportation is a challenging topic. Significant amounts of waste heat from onboard systems as well as the passengers need to be rejected to avoid overheating of the systems and cabin. However, the low-pressure environment prohibits efficient convective heat-transfer, requiring the need to look at other solutions. This talk will present how proven solutions from the space and processed-food industry can be combined to realize a thermal management system suited for hyperloop transportation. High level calculations will give an insight into the performance, size and mass required to implement such a cooling system on the hyperloop vehicles and infrastructure. 🗓️ Mark your calendar and join us for this insightful seminar next Monday 18th of November from 18:00h-19:00h CET. 🔗 Subscribe to our public calendar for all upcoming events: https://lnkd.in/ekcAUrah 🖥️ Here's the Zoom link for the session: https://lnkd.in/gmS7BNAJ Can't wait to see you there! 🚄🚀 EuroTube Swissloop TUM Hyperloop Institute of Hyperloop Technology University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg ETH Zürich Hardt Hyperloop #thermal#HVAC
