📶 Only 1/3 of cellular IoT use eSIM technology despite these benefits: 1️⃣ Remote SIM provisioning – Managing SIM profiles over the air, which eliminates the need for physical SIM card replacements and providing flexibility and reduced provisioning time 2️⃣ Global connectivity and scalability — Empowering IoT devices with seamless global connectivity, which is crucial for businesses aiming to operate internationally 3️⃣ Enhanced security with embedded secure elements – Offering a hardware-based root of trust, which allows manufacturers and consumers to ensure module authenticity, addressing cloning, counterfeiting, and key protection In our latest article, IoT Analytics principal analyst Satyajit Sinha delves further into these benefits and why adoption has been slower than expected despite them—along with current actions that we expect to help boost this market in the coming years 📈 Find our latest article here: https://lnkd.in/gV2R-4FN Access the IoT eSIM Modules and iSIM Chipsets Market Tracker here: https://lnkd.in/gBffBN8c Access the Cellular IoT Modules & Chipsets Security Tracker here: https://lnkd.in/gtpyE8t7 #eSIM #security #connectivity #IoT #technology #cellular

🌐 The global 5G network infrastructure market reached $27.8 billion in 2023. Huawei secured a dominant position in 5G network infrastructure, followed by Ericsson and Nokia. In our 5G IoT & Private 5G Market Report 2024–2030, we forecast this market to grow at 13.2% CAGR until 2030. 🔑 Analyst Opinion: One of the key trends we have observed is that private 5G technology is opening opportunities for established industrial giants and emerging service providers. On the one hand, companies like Siemens are entering the market with comprehensive full-stack private 5G solutions, leveraging their industrial expertise. On the other hand, firms such as Campus Genius are capitalizing on this space by offering 5G Core as a Service (5GaaS). This diversification is largely due to the varying scales of private 5G network infrastructure deployment across different organizations. ➡️ Access the full report to see 5G IoT and private 5G revenue and shipment forecasts, top market players, use cases, and trends: https://lnkd.in/dneQUsu2 📄 See our latest blog about the State of Private 5G, including a market snapshot, regional leaders and market drivers, and the top 5 use cases here: https://lnkd.in/d_HPsnvq Author: Satyajit Sinha #5G #Network #Infrastructure #technology #IoT

The state of private 5G in 2024 5 key takeaways: 1️⃣ Significant growth for 5G expected. Private 5G connections reached 1.28 million worldwide in 2023, representing about 5% of all 5G IoT connections. This number is expected to grow at a CAGR of 65.4% through 2030, eventually accounting for 13% of total 5G IoT connections globally. 2️⃣ China leads in private 5G deployments in 2023. By May 2022, China reported over 20,000 private 5G deployments, establishing itself as a global leader in private 5G adoption. 3️⃣ Europe is preparing for growth in private 5G adoption. As of May 2024, nine European countries have allocated dedicated frequencies for private 5G, accounting for more than half of all countries worldwide with such provisions. 4️⃣ Private 5G spending is expected to shift to services and software by 2030. In 2023, 55% of private 5G spending was allocated to network infrastructure, while the remaining budget went to managed services and orchestration software. By 2030, spending is expected to pivot, with a larger focus on services and software. 5️⃣ Non-industrial facilities dominated the private 5G market in 2023. Non-industrial facilities, including ports, stadiums, commercial buildings, warehouses, and airports, made up 75% of the global private 5G market in 2023. In contrast, industrial and manufacturing sites accounted for 23%. By 2030, non-industrial applications are forecasted to retain a majority share of 71%, while the industrial and manufacturing segment is projected to grow to 28%. 📃 Learn more about the state of private 5G and the top 5 private 5G use cases in our latest blog: https://lnkd.in/d_HPsnvq 🔑 Access the full report and accompanying case study and market model databases: https://lnkd.in/dneQUsu2 #5G #connectivity #tech
