Starting in 2001 with a small range of commodities for peptides, Iris Biotech GmbH developed its portfolio to a unique list of standard reagents and unusual building blocks extended by our custom synthesis service making us the number one address for any (un-)usual compound required for the modification of peptides. Our mission as qualified supplier is to support our customers in their ongoing projects from research scale to commercial production by providing our know-how and latest products together with the required analytics and documentation. In the field of drug discovery, we offer protected amino acids, coupling reagents, linkers und resins, natural and unusual amino acids and their derivatives, fatty acid derivatives, as well as thousands of other building blocks and resins. Regarding drug delivery, Iris Biotech provides the world’s largest portfolio on PEGylation reagents ranging from short, monodisperse hydrophilic linkers, to very long, polydisperse derivatives. Next to those pioneer products, Iris Biotech presents novel polymers with improved biodegradability. As part of our new section Linkerology we provide PROTAC* building blocks as well as various functionalized linkers – depending on the desired application either with a predetermined breaking point or defined stability. Further additions are fullerenes, showing distinct photo-/electrochemical and physical properties thus being useful tools for various fields of research, e.g. as antioxidant, as radical scavenger, for filling hydrophobic binding pockets, or as carrier in drug delivery.
