Like many neuromuscular disorders, Pompe disease poses grave challenges for affected patients, owing to the disruption of a crucial, ubiquitous process underlying muscle function. Great news: iThera Medical received its EU MDR certificate, marking the completion of a 2.5-year journey, navigating complex regulatory waters and creating a 1,600-page submission. The EU MDR certificate allows iThera to seamlessly certify its new generation of #MSOT imaging devices. This certification also allows iThera customers to use their MSOT Acuity Echo on patients down to the age of 2 years - particularly important for one of our clinical priority areas, in neuromuscular diseases.
