🚗🔧 Sensitec once again supports the KA-RaceIng e.V. team! 🔧🚗 We are pleased to once again support the Formula Student Team KA-RacIng of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology with our high-precision TA903 position sensor! 🏎️💨 The TA903 utilises the Tunnel Magneto-Resistive (TMR) effect to enable precise position measurements. It contains two Wheatstone bridges at a 90° angle to each other, which enables highly precise determination of the angle α between the sensor and the magnetic field. The result? Two sinusoidal output signals with a periodicity of one revolution per revolution - perfect for applications at the end of the shaft. Our sensor can be used flexibly: ✅ As a bare die for chip-on-board processing ✅ In SMD processing as LGA6B housing or DFN8 housing Every season, KA-RaceIng builds a fully autonomous and electric racing car that successfully competed with teams from all over the world last season. The non-profit, student-run organisation works without any financial profit motive, instead focusing on scientific training, research and establishing valuable contacts with industry partners. We were thrilled to welcome the talented teams from KA-RaceIng e.V., TUfast Eco Team, Team Schluckspecht Hochschule Offenburg, Rennstall Esslingen, and Dynamics e.V. to our EMC lab in Ettenhiem, Germany. The teams dove into a variety of workshops, breakout sessions, product presentations, interviews, team reviews and more. The exchange of knowledge was invaluable, and we are truly impressed by the creativity, dedication, and innovative spirit of these teams. And of course, it wasn’t all work – after an intense schedule, we headed to the go-kart track for some high-speed fun! A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and made these two days so exciting and memorable. It’s amazing to see the potential in the next generation of engineers. Virtual or physical, motorsport is in #Porsche’s DNA. Formula Student members are the engineers of tomorrow, and we have been actively involved in the Formula Student environment for years, proudly sponsoring several top teams. Typically, we meet these teams annually in Hockenheim during the Formula Student Germany event, but this week marks a historic first as we join them in a virtual setting for the Virtual Formula Student Alpe Adria. In this event, 108 teams from around the globe will compete against each other. We're excited to announce that we will participate in the Alumni Cup at around 8:15 pm with our very own Porsche Esports factory team: two of our drivers from the Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team, Charlie Collins and Elvis Rankin, will compete together on Thursday. Additionally, on Wednesday at around 9 pm, during the live stream, join us for insightful discussions with Lena Siegle and Nina Braack about our Formula Student involvement and the exciting world of esports at Porsche.
