Japanese delegation from METI visits the Hydrogen Gas Turbine Generator set at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company Europe in Belgium Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe and Chevron Phillips Chemical Company Europe had the honor of welcoming a high-level delegation from the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to Tessenderlo, Belgium in November of 2024. The special highlight of this visit was the hydrogen-capable Kawasaki Gas Turbine Generator set with an electrical output of 1.8 MWe. This is the first commercial unit to use up to 30% hydrogen, converted from a standard natural gas-fired unit with Kawasaki hydrogen DLE combustion technology maintaining NOx emissions below 15ppm@O2=15%. The Japanese delegation was impressed by the fact that Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe is implementing his hydrogen product to European industry and felt that this was a solid step towards a future of environmentally friendly energy. #chevronphillipschemicaleurope #hydrogen #gasturbinetechnology #gasturbine #nedo #mita
