Wow – another year has passed so quickly... and with it the first quarter of a century. We're looking forward to sliding into a new year full of highlights and innovations together with you. But first, we would like to take a look back – at exciting projects, successful innovations and the excellent collaboration with our partners, customers and friends. You have made 2024 a very special year for us. After an eight-year break, #drupa2024 was definitely the highlight for us and the entire printing industry. It was fantastic to see so many of our international companions again in Düsseldorf and to make new business connections. In addition, there were numerous other events, trade fairs and open houses that made 2024 a special year for us. For example, the Koenig & Bauer Digital & Webfed Technology Days in Würzburg in February and, most recently, the #PostpressExperienceDays in Radebeul in November where we showcased our CutPRO X 106 with die-cutting speeds of up to 16,000 sph. With new products such as the MetJET ONE from Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint and numerous digital solutions from Koenig & Bauer DIGITAL, we have been able to expand our comprehensive portfolio and respond to new customer requirements. Upgrades such as the increase in performance of our medium-format Rapida 106 X sheetfed offset press to up to 22,000 sph also generated enthusiasm during and after drupa. We are looking forward to everything that awaits us in 2025. Together with you, we will continue to achieve milestones in the new year and shape the future of the printing industry. We are pleased to announce the first positive results in the pioneering development project “Hydrogen Heated Dryer”. 🤩 Conventional coating or printing lines use thermal dryers, which are currently heated with natural gas, to dry the solvent-based coating. By using green hydrogen, the CO2 emissions of the entire production process can be significantly reduced. Following a successful feasibility study, the first hydrogen dryer was tested on a coating line at Pano Verschluss GmbH. A team from Koenig & Bauer MetalPrint supervised the production with hydrogen.
