About two years ago, I started an Instagram channel called ‘sustained_insights’ to provide information and inspiration on the topic of sustainability. This platform has not only sharpened my awareness, but has also brought me a lot of positive feedback. Water plays a central role in our industrial processes. At the same time, it’s a vital resource, so it’s essential that we manage it responsibly via sustainable production! 💧 That’s why our Advanced Interlayer Solution division in Troisdorf has worked tirelessly to optimise water usage – and the results speak for themselves! Since 2015, the site has saved more than 700,000 cubic meters or fresh water.   How did they do it? 💡 Reducing water consumption by identifying and eliminating all unnecessary consumption 💡 Optimising water treatment and process water circuits 💡Tacking microorganisms that contaminate water 💡 Investing in a range of measures to streamline the production process, such as making technical upgrades, improving analytics and training staff   Efforts from our dedicated team meant that we’re continuing to take sustainable steps forward – a huge thank you to our employees for their commitment to this project! 🌟   Want to know more? Collaboration fuels innovation – that’s why our team recently partnered with Miro to host the latest of our Innovation Days! 🫱🏾🫲🏻 30 people from across our teams met in Austin, Texas where they have undergone intensive training from ideation to pitching their project ideas that will help shape the future of our business – from reducing our energy consumption, to exploring the possibility to design sustainable packaging. We even had the opportunity to hear from expert business leaders about how they approach innovation: 📢 Liam Berryman and Lance Brockway from Nelumbo, Inc spoke to us about building their trailblazing startup and how they approach the product development process 📢 Shipra Kayan from Miro, shared expert insights into designing for innovation and how to come up with real new ideas 📢 And P. Scott Bening Sr. former CEO of MonoSol shared his experiences about how to set customers' needs in the focus of your business activities Big thanks to Miro for hosting us and creating an exciting atmosphere to explore new ways of working and learn from one another!
