‘Two state-of-the-art, semi-automated Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes for the U.S. West Coast, please!’ That’s essentially what our customer TraPac in Oakland, California – a prominent container terminal operator – ordered. This major investment and the significant expansion of their terminal mark another important milestone in TraPac’s history, boosting their capacity to handle the world’s largest container vessels. Key features: ✅ 66-metre (216-foot) outreach ✅ 53-metre (173.83-foot) lift height ✅ 30.48 metres (100 feet) span ✅ 66 long tonnes lifting capacity in twin-lift mode TraPac CEO Cameron Thorpe said, ‘Liebherr’s cranes, known for their exceptional quality and innovative design, will be instrumental in enhancing the efficiency and capability of our terminal. Setting Sail! The 181-metre-long bulk carrier MV Zina, from our customer #KirganHolding, has officially set off from our Rostock site. Equipped with two brand-new, mint-green CBG 360 Liebherr #transshipment cranes, she's now ready for operations in the Black Sea and off the coast of West Africa. Thanks to great teamwork and the iconic #TCC78000, we steamlined the assembly process and ensured the cranes are fully operational before handover. From the heart of the Amazon to the maritime innovation hub of Rostock – our journey with Porto Chibatão continues to be extraordinary. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting Mrs. Isabele Oliveira Simões from Chibatão group, and her husband Mr. Antonio De Andrade Simões Neto at our plant in Rostock to show the craftsmanship behind our mobile harbour cranes. Porto Chibatão in Manaus is a cornerstone of the Amazon's logistics and transportation network, spanning an impressive 1 million square metres and ranking as one of Latin America’s largest private ports. What an offshore installation season 2024! ⚓ DEME Group's installation vessel Orion exceeded its 2024 goal at Dominion Energy’s Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind project. Starting with an ambitious target of 70 monopiles, the team managed to install an impressive 78 foundations between June and October, plus the support structures for the three substations. Congratulations to everyone involved! Two of our Liebherr mobile harbour cranes have completed their smooth journey aboard M/V Aura to their new homes in Aalborg, Denmark, and Huelva, Spain.
