German stereotype? Or totally true? 😆😱 Did you know that some schools in Germany actually ban wearing any type of sweatpants/yoga pants/sport pant to school?! 🤯 And many are trying to follow the trend! For many Germans this might not be as mind blowing… but to me, a Canadian, I couldn’t believe it when I first listened to the news on the radio! 📻 As a student, I LIVED in my sweatpants. In university, I had 7 AM classes, 10 PM classes, classes all day long! I worked full-time (as a promo model in high heels) and I don’t know how I would have felt back then if someone told me I couldn’t wear sweatpants. BUT, according to my German son, the feeling that it’s “not appropriate” to wear sweatpants out of the house starts at a young age! 😝 And before you go on a commenting rampage below ⬇️ NO - this is not due to my parenting… I’ll have you know I still spend 95% of my days in sweatpants or yoga pants! 😂🔥 #kidsingermany #germankids #kidssaythedarndestthings #kidssaythefunniestthings #germancultureshocks #lifeingermany

You typically will NOT get free water with your meal at a restaurant in Germany! The debate of the century between foreigners and Germans! 🤣 I know we’ve talked about this together over on YouTube before and the big argument is often “German businesses make most of their profit off of drinks so their meals can be cheaper”. While I used to agree, prices of meals have also skyrocketed and we still don’t get free tap water here. Another argument is often if everyone received free tap water, no one would order a drink… While this may be true for some, I actually order more drinks if the water is free (more alcoholic/expensive drinks). 🤣😝 So… what do you think? To be free? Or not to be free? 💧 That is the question!
